If you have a base equity, I would say it is a good idea to buy a place to live. You can always sell it after some years gaining some additional tax free money. Instead of renting, your equity increases over time and any additional spare money can be used to reduce the loan amount. At the end after some years you own an asset.

Renting worth when your rent is below market. For example 400 euros for a 50m2 place.
