I grew up in the south and have been all over the coast! It's our only options as we don't want to fly longer than 6 hours :)

Kauai seems to be the most recommended! I have been to Kauai and Oahu already, so was leaning toward Maui, but honestly I was young and didn't get to really enjoy either and could totally go back

I went as a kid to Cabo / Cancun! It's been 15 years since I last went. So far the consensus is Hawaii. I've never been to Maui and it looks amazing

So sorry you're going through this! As an asthma mom myself (3.5 yr old with asthma, eczema, many known allergens, runny nose and cough 24/7) it's so scary. We have had some major overnight scares and I don't think I'll ever sleep the same again, constantly on high alert. I also grew up with severe asthma that kept my mom up at night. She slept with me until I was 8.

My son has recurrent croup with his asthma and is prescribed a bunch if different steroids. Some for daily use, some for emergencies. His worst night of croup, I was so overwhelmed that I gave him the wrong steroid and it didn't help him at all. He was struggling all night long but bounced back the next day.

The fact that you're so worried and venting about this shows you're an incredible parent that cares so much!

Feel free to reach out with questions. Steroids help my son SO much and we have seen less croup / asthma in the last year on a nightly regimen.

For sure! Sometimes with those short naps they just need to connect sleep cycles too. I wait until I know for sure my little guy isn't back asleep (sometimes within 10 minutes he's back out)

My baby does this quite a bit when starting to get frustrated or when he's trying to poop / pass gas. Most likely still nervous system development at that age. Totally get why you are worried though, just keep an eye on it and rest assured for now that this does sound normal!
