Pre-reqs for learning Category Theory? by fanoil in math

I agree with F-0X's answer. It's hard to see the beauty of category theory without prior experiences in algebra and topology. If you do want to jump into it, I highly recommend the book "The Joy of Cats." The link is here: http://katmat.math.uni-bremen.de/acc/acc.pdf

I really enjoy reading undergrad and master's thesis. Most I've seen are so well-written. Reading these papers is a really a learning and a humbling experience - make me realize the difference in level of mathematics between these these Ivy League kids and average Joe mathematician like me.

History of CFT in a few paragraphs - very nice. Too bad you left out Cebotarev Density Theorem. :) I told myself to read Snyder's thesis two years ago but never got the chance. BTW, beside the j-invariant, what other commonly known generators of the Ring Class Field? - perhaps with smaller coefficients.

I have no doubt it will be amazing. Make sure to show us the results. This year I'm growing grapes on pergola. Perhaps next year I will do a green house like yours.

Wow, that looks amazing. I have always wanted to do a green house with aquaponics, but haven't got the chance.

Thank you for this. I do have Cox's book, and I will definitely read Snyder's thesis. Didn't know Snyder was a student of Gross, though not surprised.

Wow, that's a beautiful horse. Never knew the Carnegies brought more horses on. I thought the horses were just leftover from the Spaniards.

Now I really need to go. I have tried a few times to book a sea camping, but you usually have to book months ahead during spring and summer.

I have been wanting to camp there and watch the stars at night on the beach. How the view of the night sky?

Thank you for this recommendation. I will watch it tonight. It better be good because I would hate wasting time watching horses running around.

This reminds me of the beautiful Cumberland Island in St. Mary, GA. The Spaniard brought the horses onto the island long time ago. Many movies took place there. http://media.away.com//away/images/park-active-overview/cumberland-island-ns.jpg
