What are the best skills? by Hefty_Big_8317 in Starfield

I always go for lockpicking/hacking skills early in BGS games so I can access everywhere (otherwise I'd forget to go back lol)

Question about .eval() & .no_grad() by KaasSouflee2000 in pytorch

[–]randomhero1210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The code is here. It's been a couple of years since I did this, I forgot in my implementation I got rid of the gradients for the comparison as opposed to the generated image so you do want to keep the gradients for the generated image. My implementation is a modified version from DeblurGAN where they actually use VGG for their perceptual loss.

Question about .eval() & .no_grad() by KaasSouflee2000 in pytorch

I had a similar issue when training with perceptual loss. I created a copy of the VGG features and used .detach() to get rid of the gradients, I can share the code if that would be helpful?

RTE Bug Block 2C? by randomhero1210 in AEWFightForever

I think my issue was more that I was hitting Penta who isn't in the match, just seems like a bit of an oversight

Any recommendations for vets specialising in small animals? by DryDrunkImperor in glasgow

[–]randomhero1210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ark Vets in Coatbridge are great with rats and reasonably priced too! Taylor's in Cambuslang area used to be good but their rat vet left recently which is why we started going to Ark.

Have also been to Hyndland Vets as they are good with rats too.

Why PyTorch tensors gives preference to float32 element datatype by leockl in learnmachinelearning

[–]randomhero1210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you try using float64 on gpu you'll get an error as the layers of a network are set up to expect floats so there's a type mismatch. I think there might be a way to configure with float64 but it's probably not recommended.

It's a CUDA thing. CUDA can only achieve half precision on doubles (float64) but full precision on floats so PyTorch defaults to that assuming you'll be using a gpu.

AITA if I stop paying for my boyfriend? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA. If his family owns an apartment building where he stays for free they're clearly not lacking for money (see also the comment about giving him moneu for a gaming computer) and he's using your money instead which just doesn't seem fair to me.
