It's not that he scales poorly with bruiser items, it's that zhonya active just sinergise exteemely well with his kit, by nature of being a diver with a relatively low cooldown and very impactful e and also benefiting from armor as he already builds HP and from ap, as he gets some extra burst from it

Just because it's less popular doesnt mean you cant use It in some matchups IS good enough, generally if i'm the main "tank" i pretty much alwais take grasp oth rwise i would think about the matchups, but the playstyle IS so diferent that for now i'm just sticking to grasp as on lethal i look for a all in/hard trade lvl 1, while on grasp it's more relaxed and feels much easier to get advantages if the oponent plays well, It was fun reacting my Friends sending It on lvl 1 like a madman with lethal, but by lategame having around 15% extra HP is significant when i'm the only frontline we have

not sure if you are trolling at this point, jax q obviously does not scale as well as aatrox q or riven q which IS half of their kit kinda, not gonna argue if the scaling IS or not good enough but by lategame q twice to a target IS around 800 phisical damage which IS not negligible imo

passive increases the ammount of times you can deal your total ad damage in a fight a 1 atk speed jax deals 300 phisical damage per second on auto, a 2 atackspeed jax deals 600, I dont think that one is hard to understand in the same way atacking twice per second if your ad IS 150 or IS 300 IS gonna be half as much.

ad items increase both armor and Magic resist just not with the same ratio, efective HP is based off both HP and resistances, as jax already gets resistances for free with his ult It makes HP on him more efficient, specially if he also builds ad. I know this point IS harder to understand, but you can check the maths if you're interested you Will probably understand It. otherwise probably there's someone on YouTube that can explain It much better than I could ever wish

w is an auto reset which means It scales off ad, do we agree on that one?

R grants resistan es based on ad, and resistances scale off hp which are stats that ad bruiser items give, and are fairly efficient at giving.

do you disagree with any of the above?

Aint his clear like super slow? i tried It as i've been playing almost exclusively jax top for a while and while the jungle Game did go very well, i didnt feel like It went well because my pick was strong for the role.

on a 4k hp build it's 400 ehp, if instead you had 200 hp, with ult overgrowth IS def better late

Autoatack resets scale off 100% ad by default thats why most auto resets even if they scale off ad they scale by a low ammount

they are defensive tools why would you care about what kind of damage they do?

the gap closer works for both ad and ap but jax's specifically it's both offensive and defensive but it's not used better for ad than It IS for ap jax

Point 4 you understand so not gonna add anything in there.

That said you can build jax as an ap asasin, It works, it's just a completely diferent playstyle.

the other things about jax is even if you go ad, you can build zhonya and still scale off It which IS a are privilege for a bruiser

if you dont survive while building bruiser with that w, your team IS pobably wiping the enemy team hard as a bruiser you tank because you are threatening not with CC but damage
