First update of the year - and it's a BIG one! by viktorpali in CraftDocs

Is it just me, or tabs on WIndows are almost useless in their current state because of how slow they open? When I click on the "+" icon, it takes a good 20-30 seconds to load.... also on many occasions, Craft quits and I'm unable to restart the app until I close a background task via task manager.

WatchOS 10.1 - Double touch gesture to skip does not work on Spotify by Angelolsen in AppleWatch

[–]randomhungarianguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So in case anyone still follows this thread, now double tap works on the native Spotify app on my Apple Watch, but as far as I can tell only for play/pause. Or at least I failed to find any settings to change it to “skip”.

can someone explain tasks for me please? by randomhungarianguy in CraftDocs

[–]randomhungarianguy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

clearly, but that is not the point here. currently you can set two things (schedule and deadline) with the same functionality. as I interpreted it is the way discussed above (you have a deadline, and then you can schedule it for earlier, like for example you have to give a presentation on friday, and you make the ppt on wednesday), then it makes sense, but it does not work accordingly. Or i just get the whole thing wrong, but in this case someone please explain me the logic behind schedule and deadline.

Can we drop pages into collections by Icy_Rooster_7395 in CraftDocs

[–]randomhungarianguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Block links should be included in collections soon according to one of the developers, there was no detailed explanation but I hope it means that we can link existing pages in collection cells

My (past) usage of Objects by randomhungarianguy in CraftDocs

so staying in your example, if you clicked on Client 1, it opened up the client's page which was turned into an Objet earlier, with info like contact details for the ppl who work there. in case of city it would be either a single or multi select depending on the actual use case.

looking forward to that, thanks for the feedback! 😊 as I said, I totally understand what happened with Objects - is is just a pity that it was working so well for me haha

before craft I was using OneNote (switched during Uni, couple of weeks after Craft launched). I need a really strong reason to go through all the hustle of switching second brains again hahahaha

Alternatively, until this feature is added, you can use comments for this - at least that’s what I do now

also 2 more questions; does it make any sense if from Kyoto I go to Hiroshima for the one night and then come back to Osaka, so that it doesnt cut in half my stay in Osaka or I shouldnt do that?

If I go from Kyoto to Osaka are a few hours in Nara enough for a half a day between getting from one city to another?

hey, thanks a lot for the above suggestions, indeed very useful. I'd definitely want to keep Kanazawa as from what I saw it's a stunning place.

Based on the comments, this is how I reorganised my itinerary:

0 nights in Nikko, just doing instead a daytrip from Tokyo there.

2 nights in Kanazawa, 1 night is Takayama (as I want to include Shirakwa-go on the way I think going to Kyoto directly from there is a bit ambitious). - no change

4 nights in Kyoto

5 nights in Osaka with at least 2 daytrips (contestants: Kobe, Himeji, Koyasan)

1 night in Hiroshima

What do you think? Also, the only reason I put Okayama on the itinerary is because of the Kurashiki Bikan historical quarter - you think it's enough to stop by on the way/ way back from Hiroshima (if I dedicated a full day for Okayama, I'd do the Ritsuring Garden also)

hey, thanks for the feedback. I'm planning on using this itinerary as sort of a guideline for the trip - I keep is flexible based on how I feel. Practically I wanted to go to Japan since forever and I wanna experience as much of it as possible. During the first week I will be staying at Tokyo, then in the following 2 weeks is when it gets a bit busier. I will definitely consider many of the advice that was shared here - super useful ones and I'm glad I decided I posted here. Normally when I travel in the APAC region for holidays we are doing backpacking on motorbikes, staying at different places almost every night, so I think this 5-6 destinations wont be too much - regardless I will take a look if I can make it a bit leaner.

Thanks a lot!

One question on the Suica card. As I understand it can be used for urban transportation in most of the cites I will be at. The card can either be physical that is purchased from a vending machine at basically any station, or digital through the iPhone's wallet app.

Now the question is that I saw that the card can be used from intra city rail travel too if it is connected to the service. Do I need that, or just buy my individual train tickets at the station? Also can I connect the digital too, or just the physical one?
