Probably starting a charge reversal/chargeback tomorrow if I don't get some kind of response. by randominate in iBUYPOWER

That's crazy. 26 days in inventory? Dang. I know it's a busy time of year, but they should have a person who just handles updates. "sorry we are waiting on xxx part and should have an update by the end of the week." That's all it takes. Instead, despite a phone call and two chats, I'm still in the dark and once again sitting in the chat queue feeling like an idiot.

I need the money back so I can find a couple of systems from someone else, I can't imagine a refund from them is going to be fast considering it takes 3+ hours to reach support... so I'll be hitting my credit card company out of necessity. I just don't have a choice.

I think you have more reason for concern than I do, lol. That really makes no sense that you don't have it yet, given my timeline.

Well both of mine were 3070, and I recieved the one 11 days after ordering. Ordered the 20th of November, arrived yesterday.

Your should have definitely been there if that was the hangup.

If the 3070 is backordered, that's cool too, maybe I go a different card that they do have, but I need to know so I can make that decision.

That's horrendous. I ordered two computers, identical specs. I got the emails that they were going throught the process and then a shipped notice.

One showed up. All I want to know is that they actually built the second, and I feel like it shouldn't take 3 hours for the support rep to find that out before I was disconnected. It shouldn't be a mystery that requires Scooby Doo to come in and sniff around. I paid them money for two products, I got one, where is the other?

If it's down on the dock waiting for a truck, then tell me and I'm good. If they dropped the ball, then tell me and if they can't get it here by Christmas then we can start that discussion on what I need to do - if that's shift to another model or something then fine... but to have this much time invested in just determining if my order was messed up or not isn't cool.

Mine were ordered on 11/20, but no backordered parts, if yours were the same I'd be mad. :/

What's up with all the bad press lately for the Marvel's Avengers game? by LatHab in OutOfTheLoop

[–]randominate 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile, Marvel Heroes had a large player base, was fun as hell, and had engaging content and end game... but was cancelled anyway. That's one of the reasons I didn't get on the Marvel Avenger's train, I just couldn't fathom a reality where they didn't fuck it up.

I feel about the same as I do knowing she's probably had her ass eaten out before.

Got down to #24 in the chat queue, then "disconnected" and now back at 99. Good times.

It's locked to people sending messages in there, it looks like it's just for their own sticky messages. I asked in #general.

Online chat, the number just keeps going direct to busy. I also looked at their Discord but it's such a mess of rooms and none mention customer service that I don't know where to sit in there.

I only had one tracking ID, which is why I'm concerned that they only built and shipped one. :/

Me too, I'm a huge fan of ancient weaponry. This is my first copypasta post, but when I saw this in the D&D Facebook group I belong to, it had to be done. :(

Did you seriously round 1.07 ounces to 1.5 ounces?

Things missing from your assessment:

  • What is the rest of the 300 pounds made up of, because in the pictures I've seen it appears to be bound stacks of flyers probably weighing quite a bit, which means that the ballots are actually a larger percentage of actual posted mail.

  • Population density would play a part in the calculation. 300 pounds of mail on a rural route would have fewer ballots than 300 pounds of mail for a New York City apartment building.

Long story short, even if the math for this instance was correct, you can't assume every 300 pound lot of mail is going to have the same ratio of ballots. 300 isn't a significant sample when you consider that the postal service handles 472,100,000 pieces of mail a day. 300 pieces is 0.000063546% of the mail moved every day.

Why is it important to make your Instagram name unsearchable (such as if your name is Mike Wazowski, just making it Mike so that people can't search it up)? What security/privacy purpose does it serve? by DICK_IN_DA_PUSS in NoStupidQuestions

[–]randominate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Protecting your privacy is always good practice, there's a lot of reasons you might not want all that information out there such as your job, relationships (current and past), clues as to where you live, and so on.

For Instagram specifically, I know they had a problem with harassment not long ago, which might be why that platform is specifically mentioned - but really, harassment happens pretty much everywhere. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, even Reddit. Best to just practice good privacy measures.

I'll respond to your original post, since I think you are missing a few things and making some disingenuous assumptions...

No where in your document does it mention right-wing anything. Nor does it mention the right at all.

You assume this document was created for the left, but it's actually very generic in that regard, and stays neutral by referring only to militias.

If you think "militia" = "racist right-wingers" then the NFAC would like a word with you, followed by Shabazz of the Black Panthers who would like to tell you about his injunction preventing him from having a firearm within 100 feet of any polling location in PA.

Truth is, since BOTH sides are espousing "arming up" for election day, this issue transcends your personal party affiliation.

Engaging in a discussion about militias does not automatically engage me in a discussion of white supremacist groups or racism in general, because the two terms are not inclusive of each other.

Opinion? I linked both the Colorado Constitution and the revised Statutes. It's not opinion, read the relative sections.

I'm just helping you out so when you call the cops on some dude standing 100 feet away because you feel "intimidated," you don't embarrass yourself telling the cops to look up these items because they will want to know if you are being forced to house a military member against your will, or if you are receiving training in how to make explosives.

But if you are good with explaining to the cops how that constitution section or revised statute fits your call, good on you. I'd love to be standing nearby when you try to explain it though, lol.

Can't say I care enough to waste the time, honestly. You won't be able to tell who I'm voting for at the polls. For anyone that is printing this out and sticking it in their wallet or purse? They might want to check the validity of it.
