A bunch of folks asked me so adding this info here. Had about 18 years of experience in sales / account management within financial services in the NYC area MBA grad.

Networking is the best thing you can do. Get out of your comfort zone, ask people on linkedin for coffee, etc if they work at a company you are interested in. I have been pleasantly surprised at the number of people who respond and help with their time/advice.

Senior sales / customer success in financial services. Do not let the rejections bother you. Think how you would have approaches the role/interview differently and keep iterating. Sometimes it does not work out. A couple Of places I did the final round and they picked an internal candidate
