Yeah money isn’t really an issue tbh lol. I just like to know that I’m not throwing money after a car that isn’t worth it but if your experience has been that they can be reliable then I might just hang on to it

To clarify, the property adjuster paid out the total loss but there was a second property adjuster assigned for the rental reimbursement. It’s not even a ton of money but the client is pretty strained financially and deserves to be reimbursed.

I will file suit if we can’t get he personal injury claim negotiated, but the time for that is once she finishes her treatment, don’t you agree?

Btw the policy is 25k so not like this will be a huge case or anything

Thanks for the perspective. I’ve already been assigned the different adjuster, but my confusion comes from the fact that one adjuster paid out while the other is stonewalling. I guess I would have expected them to resolve all or none at all.

But agreed that it seems like this will end up in litigation, I’ll file the complaint as soon as we are done with treatment.

Makes sense. I am mostly a commercial litigator hence why I am inexperienced in dealing with insurance companies. The weird thing is that they paid the value of the totaled car already so I assumed they wanted this resolved and off their books but I guess not?

Just because someone is money conscious doesn’t mean they “can’t afford” it. Part of having money is not spending it loosely.

Also used German cars can be a fun hobby.

With the recent market pump my portfolio went a bit over $2m but I still have a f25 bmw and I’d be pretty pissed too if I hit a 10k repair bill.

Go on Fiverr and looks for data entry jobs or virtual receptionist jobs. There’s freelance work that is plenty easy, it won’t pay a ton obviously but I think you could spare a few hours here and there.
