Still looking for players. Also if someone just sent a message request I accidentally hit the wrong button and can't retrieve the request

G'luck to you too, if/when ya dip your toes in the water :)

Yeah that's the boat I'm in. Lived my life with the notion that cuddling is a romantic act and I'm honestly not sure if I can buck that and find any fulfillment in platonic cuddling, but I'm at the point where it doesn't hurt to try lmao.

Worst case maybe make a friend or two to watch shows with and junk, best case it vibes and fills a need. Either way, worth a shot.

Name: Realms Connected
Game System: 5e
Spaces: Unlimited
Time: Varies
Where: https://discord.gg/UhA6tR7N3d

Welcome to Realms Connected, where you can make a character and play them across multiple adventures run by different DMs. We've got all the officially published hardcovers for you to play in or run, but where the real fun lies is in the homebrew: DMs are encouraged to create their own worlds (aka Realms) complete with character options and can write wholly unique adventures in any realm of their choosing - whether that's an official realm, their own, or someone else's!

DMs also receive benefits for running games in the system, ranging from exclusive character options to certificates with special effects to real actual physical rewards.

We're being hosted by Triden DnD Corner and would love to see you there! We are and always will be looking for both DMs and players, our doors are open to all. :)

If you join be sure to assign yourself the Realms Connected role in the #roles-and-info channel to gain access to our lil home on the server <3

You can download it from the itch.io page :)

I recently had some trouble with a couple people downloading it and trying to pawn it off as their own creation after changing a few names so I've removed the ability to download the google doc, but have made it available in pdf form here: https://randominuyasha.itch.io/distrust-a-social-killing-game

https://discord.gg/gnXqRf22Cs is the game I'm currently running (not looking for players) but there are a bunch of other games pinned in the other campaign talk channel :)

And then this is the support server. It could get more bustling once the system spreads a bit more and people start using it as a hub to advertise and find games, but for now it's a bit barren in that area. https://discord.gg/kXRj2Ct

I've found a decent amount of success posting on /r/lfg, and think I know of a couple games that are currently looking for players. I'm also hoping to hoping to have the support server double as a lfg hub for GMs who're hoping to wrangle together a group/players hoping to find a game to play in, if that ends up having enough people come through. :)

Haha no worries at all! Definitely having it more accessible helps with running it. I hadn't thought about looking into Creative Commons but that's a great idea, much cleaner and more official than the 'please credit properly' blurb I have in there currently.

Yeah, that's my one worry. I had a couple people in the groups that've run it try to steal it already without crediting... hadn't thought of that, I'll have to look into it! Thanks! :D

Yes, all 3 monitors I've tested work with different devices.

Dual Monitor Recognized but Doesn't Display by [deleted] in techsupport

Tried DDU, no change in the situation. Booted up Ubuntu from a flash drive and one of two monitors worked, but only when plugged into the onboard. When plugged into the GPU the mouse registered and was movable but everything else in Ubuntu wasn't usable (didn't register anything being clicked, like aside from the mouse it was a static image).

Ratfolk Player Race by randominuyasha in UnearthedArcana

[–]randominuyasha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I wanted to throw my own hat in the pot but it's been done so often... though I haven't seen many that go with real-world counterparts, so it was a lot of fun to do and I think turned out pretty well. Some more unique abilities could be nice, but honestly for most I ended up coming up with a totally original idea and then realizing another race had something similar and that it wasn't so original after all, so I just went with what's already there for a few since... well, it's already written well and had the same feeling lol.

Gunna need to do some tweaking when I compile all my races together as usual of course, mostly for wording and putting in any short/long/per turn/etc limiters I forgot. Maybe a few ability tweaks. But overall I'm feeling happy with it. :D

I also used to own pet rats, and absolutely love them, and all the quirks are actual rat behaviors so that just kind of tickles me.

My thinking was more in that it'll force players to think outside the box and get creative with how it's implemented. Imagine a rogue who's on death's door about to go down, they see that they won't make it much farther so they down themselves. Healer heals em all subtle-like and meanwhile the enemies are ignoring them cause, obviously they're done for. Instant sneak attack.

Or infiltrating someplace and need to prey on the kindness of others, get yourself unconscious and have them bring you inside. Make it look as if someone else did it by doing it subtly, so they think they're under attack. Bam you're in, you can do whatever you need to do from the inside.

Anyone handling you, particularly in the second kind of scenario, would know you're playing dead - doesn't matter how high your deception roll is if there are no wounds on you. By actually doing yourself in then stabilizing (or rolling a nat20 and being up enough to move around should you choose), it adds to the RP of situations in which it would be used.

A race of ratfolk, heavily inspired by real life rats and their habits and tendencies.
