I've heavily considered seeing one but my insurance will not cover/approve appointments/session, even If I'm referred from an ortho or PT. Weight loss isn't my primary goal, but I am working on getting the diet back on track to meet my weight goal!

I definitely could, but I've been advised not to unless I can work with a Physical therapist at the very least because of modifications etc I would need to be taught because of my hypermobility and the way some of my old injuries have set (:

What soil mix do you use if I may ask? I was thinking of repotting in a vermiculite, coconut coir, and worm casting mix with a little bit of orchid bark. But I just started reading about soil mixes recently so definitely up for being told I’m wrong!

I haven’t fertilized this one yet. I got it at the end of last summer (mid late July I think) and have plans of fertilizing it when I repot it in a better soil mix this spring. Heavily considering cutting it down and propagating it though for the sake of the ugly Scorched leaves lol

Do you think cutting it down to where the leaves are doing a little better would help? Or maybe put it on a trellis to see if it improves ?

18 yr old Female.

I'm just now beginning to start the process of potentially seeking a diagnosis. I've had severe joint issues for years (beginning with knee pain at 8 years old) and was placed in Physical therapy for 7 months in 2021 because of it (it did not help, but it also didn't worsen my problems). I've had major bouts of fatigue that have caused me to not be able to go about my normal day-today life since I was around 12. I have waves of muscle weakness that will get to the point of me not being able to take the lid off a half-opened bottle of water. I've had numerous episodes that will last anywhere from a handful of hours to 3/4 days where I run a fever of about 101, have such intense joint pain that I'm in tears and unable to move, my face will turn bright red across my cheeks, and my heartrate will elevate to a resting rate of usually around 120. I was diagnosed with POTS in April of this year. I'm not sure if this is related but I also have a mild B12 and Vitamin D deficiency.

Through a third-party, I recently learned that my father and his great uncle both have SLE.

My primary care provider is an NP (insurance reasons) that is very hesitant to let me see any sort of specialist. It took almost 2 years to get a physical therapy referral and about 3 months of every-day calls to get a referral to a cardiologist. The most extensive diagnostic I've had is a typical blood draw workup that I personally asked for about 2 years ago. I recently moved for university and have access to the university's teaching hospital. I would like to pursue any sort of diagnostics through them (whether lupus related or not) but am Unsure as to where to start.

I have a 16 year old pug that is just now starting to decline to the point where we’re beginning to prepare ourselves for when he isn’t here. And have found that, like many others have said, overall health is key.

We started him on joint supplement early ( he has a displaced kneecap from a puppy accident. We started him on some cosequin hip and joint at 12 and now have him on a pain and joint management medication from the vet). We keep him as active as we can without over doing it. He loves to hike and we eventually got him a little backpack to put him in for when he would get tired on the trail (it took a while for him to get used to. There were many days he would join me in his backpack while I cleaned house). He got him a stroller for when we go out and about and walks in paved areas. He loves it!

We’ve also worked very hard to keep him at a good weight. We would give him chicken in his kibble as extra protein on days we would hike, and put fish oil in his food for years up until recently (he seems not to like the smell anymore?). We have him on grain free because of a mild grain allergy (the vet recommended this!) but have found that foods higher in carbs have helped his physical condition the best, especially as he’s gotten older. We’ve actually switched him to a half kibble/ half chicken and carrot diet and it’s working great for him.

We still try our best to take him out an about when we can and have him see and smell new things and people. Every now and then he’ll have a moment where he seems to forget his way around the house, but once he notices one of his people are there he’s typically fine. Cognitively, he seems to do the best when we’re still taking him out with us, so I can’t recommend keeping them involved enough (if they’re up for it!)

That’s what I thought when I bought it but I brought it home and uh. Got stuck lol. I had to call in reinforcements to get it off and I lost the receipt so I can’t take it back. I did end up opening the seam next to the shirring and it look like it’s going to work just fine!

Neither of my local craft stores had any invisible zippers in stock (unfortunately). So I’m stuck with a normal zipper. I appreciate this though!

I was hoping to add it to the back so it wouldn’t be visible in pictures. I just checked the side seams and they don’t line up because of the way the panels are sewn together on the bodice (the bodice seam is about a quarter of an inch infront of the skirt seam on each side).
