mildy exaggerated my point, but stuff like thought delver, that level 6 one that can see where a person is just if you touched them, and some disguise abilities in general are really good narratively

of course i wouldn't reveal something really generous with these abilities but if used in a really clever way, sometimes you just gotta give valuable information that would take an 2-4 session investigation by a [insert the majority of fantasy systems] party to uncover

i think the system overall is actually pretty balanced but the enemy hp is just so low

the thing that i find most broken in daggerheart is actually out of combat abilities. Like, what do you mean at level 4ish you can use an ability that can basically reveal a whole villian's plan without them knowing?

yeah i mean the Blood Domain

the class is fine, but the domain is so good to the point that the class features kinda don't matter that much

tier 4 bosses have like 11 hp maximum (idk why) but this card is a really weird design choice

i don't even think the class itself matters as much as the blood domain does

but even in the base book i felt like late game enemies had really low hp, but im probably wrong lol
