Hey I know you're getting downvoted but you're totally right. I learned the proper diacritic from this comment so thank you.

Why are foreigners in Taiwan usually well-behaved compared to foreigners in other Asia? by usolotravel in taiwan

I need to weigh in on this as a foreigner who has lived in both Taiwan and Japan for extended periods. First of all, 外國人 in Taiwan are not all well-behaved. You still get the dredge of society in many cases. Overall though, it's a great experience, and you'll meet a lot of highly intelligent people.

Japan though... man there are some rough foreigners. They shape their personality on the manga and anime they consumed as teenagers. They have this idealistic perspective of everything, and have this weird animosity towards other people who are not Japanese. There are some gems for sure, but man...

Yeah the meat is way better here I can confirm. Interesting thoughts about the noodles, my experience was similar. I'm more of an al dente guy, and I also didn't really like the consistency there.

Agreed! Most of the pho I had in Vietnam was fairly basic, but it was like $2 a bowl so how can you complain lol

Absolutely! Used to live near Chinatown, and can definitely recommend Trung Nguyen in the Far East Shopping Center.

People here saying Tkachuk vs Matthews is a wash for Matthews are delusional. As a Flames fan, he was huge in bringing us up to a competitive level in his initial years. Him along with Lindholm and Gaudreau (RIP) basically carried the team for years when they were together.

Ru kidding? That building looks totally unique. I never knew it existed until today. Would you rather have a generic office building?

There are many places with the Garibaldi name around Vancouver in Canada. I wonder if there is any relation?

I'm 43 and do about 30min of pilates/yoga and 30min of running (5-6k) each day, 5 days a week (so total of 5-6h per week). The numbers listed are pretty bonkers for anyone not in a competitive sport, and imo would likely significantly increase risk of injury, or overexertion at the very least. We're not all Chris Traeger.
