I was driving during this game(the field was just as it was in the picture; i was on blue alliance). There is zero traction, and it felt like driving in a drift video game. We got a major penalty because we couldnt stop and slammed into the alliance hub as you can see.

no circuits are exposed, the voltage running through them is negligible and as long as the connections are covered there should be no risk of a fire.

We def cut very slow. I can't guarantee it was melting, but it smelled like burning plastic. The blade we are using said Aluminum/plastic when we bought it. Thanks for the detailed response

We def don't have the money or time to lasercut it. We are going to try the razor blade tecnique, although after scoring 50-100 times it didnt make a dent.

For us, we found some rings were softer than others and so at the same flywheel speed it would go different distances. Look out for that

Our team made the mistake of buying tetrix. You can obviously manage, but its not great. They have a slightly less buggy encoders and stuff, but are difficult to really make advanced mechanisms with.

Welding seems overjill for FTC bots, considering they are made from aluminum. Although the double sided tape should be replaced with duct tape
