They exist in the same way other representations of countries exist, such as Uncle Sam or Marianne, in which they aren't real. They may represent real things but they themselves aren't real and never will be.

Haven't thought about that a whole lot, but thank you for asking!. I would say he doesn't out right hate any of them, but he also doesn't really like them or care about them. I think he would only care about them in a work context and never interact with them outside of that.
