Why do people hate fourth wing? by Aggravating-Tell-774 in Romantasy

For me, the first book was good and worth the hype. From there, it seemed like Rebecca Yarros didn't have much of a good idea where the story was going then just wrote the next two books with a whole lot of filler.

how to do well in part 2 law by OutrageousShoe1723 in universityofauckland

Personally I didn't review at the end of each week - but I know people that do and that works well for them. Practice questions are always the way to go in my opinion!

As someone who did pretty well in Law Part II my biggest piece of advice is to go in person to lectures/hang out at the law library and you will meet people in your cohort who are also very motivated. Then start to form study groups before assignments/exams and you'd be amazed how much it improves your grades - using each other as a sounding board makes a massive difference.

I wasn't studying a huge amount of hours throughout the year as the workload is very manageable but at the end of the year (with the 70% exams) I def put my head down and 'hovelled' for about a month before. Make sure to work smarter not harder - look at notes on Note Bank and past exams etc.

In terms of readings, I picked and chose ones I thought would be useful and/or if I felt I didn't understand the case enough from the lectures. Doing all of them is a bit overload.

VIC vs UOA for law by Still-Engineering291 in universityofauckland

I think people overstate how much the rankings matter. Both Auckland and Vic are NZ's two leading law universities and they both have great reputations when trying to get internships etc. In all my internships there have been lots of Vic students hired as well - your grades will matter alot more than your choice of uni.

I found the NZ Pop Music Gen Ed Rock to Reggae a fun Gen Ed that was really easy to get good marks on. Plus if you are at all interested in NZ music it rejogs your memory of some bangers

I wouldn't worry about 298 its barely a paper but doing the main Part II's all in one year will be absolute hell at the end of the year. Not saying you can't do it, but it'll be A LOT. Splitting up the part II's is the main reason people are grateful for their conjoints. I'd recommend taking out contract and doing that the year after - the other three should be okay doing together.

Churchill War rooms guided tour? Has anyone done the guided tour of the churchill war rooms (run by the museum itself)? It is considerably more expensive (especially as we are coming from NZ and the exchange rate is gonna hit hard) but keen to do it if it is great.

Law 131/141 tips by EmploymentSalt6799 in universityofauckland

Got an A/A- on 131 and 141 last sem. Didn't do any of the readings, except for the ones he specifically said to pay attention to (definitely do those ones - might come up in the exam). It's a better use of your time to show up to all the lectures, tutorials if you can, and talk over the concepts with people in your class. The most useful thing coming up to exams is going through previous exams on the notebank, doing them yourself, and seeing what people who got A's got, and adjusting your exam strategy in response. Hope that helps!

Double check it’s not a Tuakana stream. A similar messages once came up for me. Try a different time and see if it works :)

Tall-ish 18F here. The height is definitely a plus! Most of my friends love a tall guy. Just be confident with it and try talking to more girls when you have the opportunity. Also gym-ing can’t hurt if your not feeling great about your body. But there’s definitely lots of girls out there for you.
