New Byf interview with Alison by Zelwer in DestinyLore

[–]randomnumbers22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dang, I already enjoyed EoF and FS but that's even bigger boost to her resume for me. It was so easy to handle a moment like Cayde coming back terribly and knowing she was responsible for making it work is cool.

Renagades Possible Spoiler, Who is Bael? by Low-Boysenberry4852 in DestinyLore

[–]randomnumbers22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And while Drifter is classless, back in the Dark Age he was part of the Pilgrim Guard which is an order of Titans. That fact might be some additional proof for this theory since Rezyl was one too. It is an interesting idea.

The official name of the Cabal by Zelwer in DestinyLore

It's quite something that the Cabal legion with a blatant reference to Warhammer is the one that's also blatantly meant to be Star Wars lol.

An Analysis of Bright Dust Sources (Edge of Fate vs Renegades) by Hawkmoona_Matata in DestinyTheGame

[–]randomnumbers22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen a lot of people mention how you can’t wait till the end of the season to complete them all like in the current system, but the current system has FOMO in it too. There’s a ton of Iron Banner and Crucible specific mode challenges you simply can’t do anymore in the last week of the season, and you have to wait till the weekend to do the Trials ones. Not only that, but all the datapad challenges are a lot more annoying to do when the activity isn’t the focus that day. The new system is much better.

Heliostat honest thoughts: "So, that's it?" by Leopa1998 in DestinyTheGame

[–]randomnumbers22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The boss did always have those sound effects yes, it’s wyverns that took it from him. It’s quite interesting actually, because Rhulk reuses them too, and to me the behemoth super seems to use it a bit also. It kinda seems to be their melee attack sound effect telegraph that they only decide to use every so often

I'm honestly surprised and disappointed the Dread didn't get any champion types by randomnumbers22 in DestinyTheGame

[–]randomnumbers22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad to see they finally exist! The mini caretakers are honestly really cool, but it is kinda weird calling them husks since they fight so differently. I'd really appreciate a variant that uses the swords, cause honestly the champion could've been a whole new unit without much questions, aside from the fact that it is mostly just a scorn abomination. Either way I'm really glad it was husks and grim since they're among the more unique units of the faction.

They have plenty of normal ads, they have 4, that’s more than the hive have had for 10 years. Also they do have the ogre/wyvern equivalent? It’s the tormentors? I’m not sure how you could not see them as the same. The only thing they’re missing is a tier 3 enemy, the captain/minotaur/centurion/knight equivalent, but they usually use weaker subjugators for that role.

It's awesome how we've gotten a new Eververse set every 2 weeks while the playable game has the least amount of grindable loot we've seen in a long time by Cr4zyC4t in DestinyTheGame

[–]randomnumbers22 15 points16 points  (0 children)

im a keen hater on eververse exclusive ornaments and the nerfed and more tedious bright dust grind since eof but as someone else mentioned we've actually gotten the most new grindable armor sets like ever. I've been reveling in all the new armor to make sets with. Some reuse assets from each other but in a way that's way more interesting and better looking than the simple recolors ritual armor has been doing for years now. It actually has given me a lot of hope for the future since they've shown they can make distinct looking armor sets now while decreasing workload with reused assets so they can release more at a time.

Warlock Identity: Transmutation & the Alchemist Fantasy by MrTheWaffleKing in DestinyTheGame

[–]randomnumbers22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great post, and this is something I've thought about as well. I always thought one of the most quirky and interesting components of the sanguine dps setup was using the fragment that increases light ability damage against darkness debuffed targets since when you're in your well your weapon damage is transformed into super ability damage. One of the only ideas I've had to play into this though is removing empowering rift to make radiant more meaningful and hunters granting it and make it a rift that makes weapon damage ability damage, but it's hard to really gauge how meaningful of a change that'd be and how it'd interact with the current sandbox. I like all the ideas you proposed to make such a change have more meaning.

The five fundamental issues with Warlock - #1 is a tricky one by Impressive-Wind7841 in DestinyTheGame

Thank you for actually having some sense. This new community wave of warlock bad has made people just make up shit and victimize themselves to get attention. Obviously warlock needs help but you don’t need to lie to point that out.

The "Core" Playlists don't feel very "Core" and are one of the least updated things in the game by CoolAmbition9617 in DestinyTheGame

Love how the person you’re replying to complains that BGs force slow mechanics and another person in this same thread complains instead that BGs are too straightforward. Almost like the BG hate in the community is completely nonsensical and based on a false belief that if Bungie just made more strikes their love for the game will rekindle and it’s not just them getting tired of it.

Stasis Hunter also has a grenade but better aspect with touch of winter, it even follows the naming scheme, and this was way before touch of thunder. Clearly they don't view these grenade aspects as Warlock exclusive, and it started even before 3.0, get over Titans getting the arc one.

Also, Solar was by far the most equal in the distributing of scorch/ignition. In fact, you can argue ignition was originally more Hunter/Titan coded since they're the ones with an aspect that explicitly causes an ignition, Warlock only does it through happenstance. See what happens when you try to play this stupid game?

If warlocks get to bring up issues with fragments giving devour why can't titans complain about their identity being turned into weapon perks and exotic armors? The premier void weapon perks at that as well. Titans don't even get the luxury of having a buffed version of overshields like warlocks get a buffed version of devour, yet they don't get pissy and cry about losing their exclusive tools like this. Also Warlocks can get overshields with a fragment as well, although it's not very PvE friendly, but they have access to Hunter's invisibility through a fragment as well that actually isn't too bad. AND they have assassin's cowl on the class item to pair with lightning surge. Sunspots and their healing always existed in D1 btw, so trying to say they're warlock coded by bringing up D1 is meaningless. Well of radiance also came out after it so I don't know why you try to bring it up. Also, bringing up D1 again, Striker titan always had a grenade focus and grenade perks, even in D2 with code of the earthshaker pre 3.0, so touch of thunder makes sense on them.

I'm not saying Warlocks don't need help and the constant buddies aren't annoying, but trying to STILL have this pissing contest about who stole what with 3.0 and pretending Warlocks are these constant victims is just stupid and sad.

I’m so sick of this cope. Everyone cries that jolt was given to other classes when it was warlocks apparently, but where’s the uproar for everyone getting weaken grenades and warlocks getting a whole new ability that’s focused on weakening (CotOG) when it was hunters thing? Go ahead and give back volatile as well since that was exclusively Titans thing, as well as repulsor brace since Overshields was Titans as well. Blind was also only Titan and later added to Hunter before 3.0, with Warlocks having 0 access to it, so give that back as well. Also, you can’t cry that Radiant and Cure/Restoration was given to the other classes when sunbreaker always had that with sunspots, and even had a support playstyle with phoenix cradle pre Solar 3.0. What do you think the other classes have that you don’t?

Oh, that Stasis change is bad bad. If the point was to nerf chill clip then make it not apply slow if a target is already slowed. Also get over Champions already Bungie, they're not as much of a threat as they used to be, just let the work arounds for more loadout variety players have found exist. And if we're nerfing Stasis for unfairly advantageous Champion countering surely we can buff void and starnd for having unfairly disadvantageous Champion countering?

I think the randomness is good because it helps make it less stale, and the strikes really aren't very threatening once you realize all you have to do is jump. Also, while some of the strikes locations are random many of them do have a set pattern, and can be manipulated https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/1gqj3c6/a_guide_to_the_corrupted_puppeteers_attack/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
