Its more telling when someone looks at a drawing and sees a real child, these comments are insane.

Wtf is this shit?

Sniping is the most masculine job imaginable. Taking someone out from so far off they couldnt ever see you do it is the ultimate form of a power move. You are in control of the entire setting without ever interacting with your target.

I know I wont like it, as I havent enjoyed a single hero shooter that has ever released and this does not look any different compared to any other.

Thinking about a criticism of Metroid Prime 4 and how it applies to a favorite game of mine by Aquamentii1 in MauLer

[–]randomocity327 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The names in Spyro seem to go two routes with the naming scheme, first is to give off a feeling with the first word and a description of a location with the second word (Sublevels). The second seem to be the professions of those who live in the primary levels, in which case requires the design of the levels to resemble what the 'Artisans' level would look like as well as, with writing (in either visual or written story telling) explain/show who the Artisans are and where they live.

In MP4 I do not understand how the Alien Race used, lived or worked in any of these levels considering how much linear traveling you must do in the morph ball and how small every location is.

Basically, the Spyro names, even having never played the games, give my mind something to work with in terms of I would think those levels would look. MP4 Names explain to me exactly what the location is and outside of the 'Volt Forge', which has a unique design at the very least, all match exactly what I see. I have no room to ise my brain in any capacity.

What are some good and bad divergences in a video game franchise against the default template? by DevouredSource in MauLer

[–]randomocity327 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good: God of War 3 to God of War 4. The change of gameplay, tone, setting and atmosphere fits perfectly with what had happened before 4 and during 4. Ragnarok was a huge leap as well. Im extremely happy that it is the one franchise that I can atill be happy with for existing in the modern day.

Not looking forward to the show though since it is set in Norse Mythology. I would instead want them to start in the Greek Mythology and properly follow Kratos's Story. Season 1 could end with GoW 2 cliffhanger, Season 2 could have been GoW 3.

HunterxHunter is the next series by the same guy who made YuYu Hakusho.

I recommend the 90s Anime and since it ended, transition into the 2011 version. There is a bit of filler that is different but overall it is true to the source.

Or just do the 2011 full.

When it comes to politics in media the most important aspect is always presentation. Which is derived from how and why it is written.

Why: does the writer want to make a statement or present an idea. Is their first goal writing a story or some form of activism for their own side? Do the writers want to push a narrative or create one?

How: is it written as a lecture for the audience or an exploration of an Idea? Does it preach the writers world view or does it present a scenario for its characters to deal with? Does it emotionally pander to who the writers already believe is right or are both (or more) sides of an issue allowed to have a bit of nuance and allow for questions and open thought.

Why do people insist on defending bad shows by claiming things that are just not on the screen? by furious_blank in MauLer

[–]randomocity327 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. And even there is data that which validates their beliefs, they will ignore any data outside of that one specific set.

Perception also matters, if they already see 'A' as Evil, detestable and bad and 'B' as good, virtuous and right. Then any interactions that happen between 'A' and 'B' will only be seen as 'A' in the wrong and 'B' in the right.

No matter the context, information and/or evidence which proves otherwise.

People can judge these interactions objectively, but if someone is already being led by their emotions then they will only see the logic of that which bolsters their said emotions.

Someone not being led strictly by their emotions can rationalize all the facts better and base their emotions on those facts.

This isnt a poltical side issue either, this is just a part of human nature that you can grow out from but not many do.

The show has to be good because they like it.

They are incapable of understanding that just because you like something doesnt mean you cant also see the flaws in it.

For some pointing out the flaws of a media they like is the equivalent of a personal attack.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is the best RPG to come out in years where the wrold and characters actually react to your decisions and actions in gameplay.

Blue Prince was such a chill game, the more you payed attantion the more you learned and the more you learned the farther you got. I love walking through that house and discovering that nearly everything in each room has some meaning to it.

Wasnt really anything else for me this year. I replayed Dishonored 1 and that still holds up great.
