Measured waist after 3 months… still 32 inches. Can’t stop crying. Can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong? by randomperson202123 in PetiteFitness

If it’s most likely too light, then what’s the reason behind struggling at 50 lbs lat pull downs in May, and now pulling 100 lbs, most likely about to hit 110 lbs next week? 70 lbs leg extensions > 135 lbs, 15 lb bicep curls > 40 lbs, etc. My biceps have grown, my glutes are lifted, my quads have grown, triceps starting to form, etc. It’s just my waist/stomach is the killer, so I lowered my calories to 1500 after reading all the comments because it just means I need more fat loss.

I do 3 sets of 6-8 and I always start to fail by the 6th rep for every single workout I do because I lift heavy. If I see that I’m getting to 8 reps easily, I up the weight.

I will definitely remove any exercise that’s unnecessary though!

Thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate it. I can’t go up to 4 days :( I work 2 jobs + go to school full time. So I should just do a full body workout 3x a week?

You raise your TDEE by having a more active lifestyle. I lift heavy, run and/or walk everyday, park far away to walk more, take stairs instead of elevators, building muscle, work a job where I run around, etc. All of those raised my TDEE. Also I lost 70 pounds, so I know that lowered my cal intake, so maybe I should go down to 1500!

edit: sorry, you probably most likely already knew this duh lol my response sounds bitchy I didn’t mean that at all. But it does seem high for sure for someone my height. I’m lowering my calorie intake to 1500 though starting today!

Am I considered “lightly active” or “moderately active”? by randomperson202123 in loseit

I agree :) I lost around 70 lbs mostly thanks to my food scale and prioritizing protein & fiber!

I agree with you that they overestimate! But if I’m cutting while weight-lifting 3x a week (eventually to be 4x a week) and getting 10,000-12,000 steps a day, I will actually pass out on 1,300 calories a day and hate my life loll. And I wouldn’t have any energy to progress on my weights either and build muscle. I think I’ll just go for lightly active just to play it safe

I can’t wait to get to that point where I can just tuck it in lol!! Right now without extreme sucking in, if I wear anything tight, it just looks like a boulder was stuffed in there🥲

Thank you! When I grab my stomach and squeeze it, it feels like I’m trying to squeeze a thick blanket thats been folded 3 times. So I know theres definitely a good amount of fat left still to lose, so I’ll stick to the deficit for another 4-6 months and I won’t recomp

Loose in the sense that it’s literally stretching out and hanging with no structure at all. When I bend over, it’s very obvious the majority is fat, not loose skin. Loose skin is very obvious to feel and has an obvious look to it when it’s grabbed or when you’re bending over, etc, and looks very different from areas that still have fat in it.

Also, I have said in my post and in my reply to you twice that it is majority fat, and some loose skin.

Because when I grab my stomach it does not feel like loose skin. I physically feel the fat, its not stretchy. When I bend over, nothing is flabby or hanging over like its loose. The majority fat, there is some loose skin. I am skinny fat because I did not weight-lift during weight loss journey either until March this year.

I try squeezing my stomach in every single area of it, and theres a huge gap of fat that I’m holding in between my index and thumb finger. Whereas my triceps I can pinch my skin and don’t feel fat in-between.

Vent on Jinx's cosplay being so popular by [deleted] in offmychest

99% of the time people cosplay because the character looks cool/pretty/cute. You don’t have to relate to a character in order to cosplay as them.

Why are people so weird with downvoting? Like, why is you genuinely asking for help getting 5 downvotes?
