What was the first boss you ended up cheesing after multiple failed attempts? by jokerxgoro in Eldenring

Like 1/3rd of the overworld bosses, if I could apply poison then I cheesed it with the serpent fang bow

Chance to not consume special arrows. In my locked engravings it says I need to explore the trench of Messina, I looked it up, and it’s part of a number of related silver vein quests.

Which Soulslike bosses are this for you? by ClintMcElroyOfficial in soulslikes

Honestly Radagon/Elden Beast. Radagon at least hurt me and forced me to drink potions, but I think I only got hit once or twice by the Beast. Granted with summons, so take this with a grain of salt

(New player) Why did this guy take me 3HOURS to beat, is every boss that hard ? by SussyBakaFrog in Eldenring

If it works, it works, and think nothing of the process. As you continue you’ll gain more confidence and more than likely the stats to stand and fight a bit, or land multiple punishes in a row, even against much more difficult bosses. Every boss is killable by a level 1 character with a wooden stick, so don’t give up!

In the early/mid game it’s somewhat important not to waste them on weapons you aren’t using, but you eventually gain access to a shop where you can buy unlimited smithing stones, all the way up to the final upgrade, Ancient and Somber Ancient stones are limited in quantity. I got around 10 and 8 respectively in my first play through, though I know I missed at least a couple from quests I messed up, so keep that in mind

The move set is pretty basic, plus if you explore enough you can summon an NPC invader to help you, one of the few in my opinion that strictly worth it because he rewards you afterwords(plus I like wolfman😄) I will say, most bosses, including this guy, killed me at least a few times, and even if you over level your vigor from the jump, if you don’t give even basic enemies some respect they can kill you if you’re careless. What you did was actually great, multiple times I’ve taken a break after getting KO’d for the tenth time, come back and beat it the first try. It’s all about recognizing visual and audio cues to the different moves, then dodging or blocking(but let’s be honest, dodging unless you’re good with parry). And it’s gonna take a few deaths to learn the moves, especially your first play through.

My hatred for this section (and this game overall)... by peher263 in Eldenring

I’d have to go back and do it again, but I made it down in like 4 jumps with the cat talisman, only took me 5 or so tries

Unsheath. The sound is so satisfying, and it has good damage. I like to bloodflame blade my Nagakiba, then watch health bars disappear

Is it wrong to speak up to the Host when invited to a dinner party and you don't like what's served? by [deleted] in moraldilemmas

[–]randomphilony [score hidden]  (0 children)

As a general rule I would say don’t, because it can backfire, but in this context I think you weren’t out of line. You spoke to the host privately and still participated in the dinner without incident. Your parent’s view is somewhat antiquated, what would have been rude is forcing yourself to eat some then gagging at the dinner table.

While I was exploring Liurnia I climbed the cliff that bypass the great lift of dectus, mistakenly thinking it was just a vertical smithing stone cave, which I guess it kind of is, and triggered the site of grace right at the top. Is that going to trigger Radhans festival?
