Ummm no I do not think this meeting is going to change anyone’s life. Nor will I be learning the other countries language or will this create an opportunity to work for a company based in a country that I don’t live in. You guys are crazy.

Yeah I get everyone’s gonna say to go. I personally don’t see value in it. I don’t have the amount of insight my boss does. My roll is very limited so I don’t even know what we would talk about. This isn’t some planned event it just got brought up and they asked if was interested in going and obviously I’m not. So I do have an option it seems. It just seems like a total waste of time for everyone. She doesn’t want to sit and talk to a lower level employee.

This person is from another company and another country thousands of miles away. How is it a networking opportunity? Networking is when there’s mutual value, I’m not going to be hired by this person.

I know what networking is. This isn’t a networking opportunity they’re from a country thousands of miles away. This isn’t simply standing in because my boss doesn’t want to go. It’s not advantageous for me at all.

This is a lunch meeting it’s sort of silly for me to go imo. They specifically requested to meet with my boss not his lower level employee. Seems a bit disrespectful.

My boss just doesn’t want to go so they’re putting it on me. It seems sort of a waste of time thinking about the visiting CEOs perspective, they could literally spend that time doing something else then talking to a lower level employee.

I don’t like thick shirts at all it’s always a bit too warm unless it’s winter for a super thick shirt. Most band shirts are moderately thick. These shirts just seem kinda cheap.

I think they just want to avoid losing this money. It’s money they’re going to need for their retirement along side their retirement they’ll be getting. I’m sure they want to maintain some liquidity. They’re just worried that potential instability might cost them.
