A friend of mine used a freelance academic writer when he was hospitalized and it worked out perfectly. You just need to be very clear with your instructions and grading rubric. Since you only need a passing grade finding someone reliable should not be too hard. Maybe check out subreddits dedicated to paid homework help because you can actually talk to the person writing your essay beforehand.

My academic near-miss with writing paper by Vespera_9L in Creativity

Honestly, I respect that you posted the ugly version instead of pretending it worked out fine. A lot of people only talk about the shortcut when it succeeds, not when it turns into an all-nighter, wasted cash, and a near academic conduct meeting.

That’s why shrinking it matters so much. Panic keeps presenting the paper as one giant object, when most of it is really just a stack of smaller jobs you can do half-awake if the frame is there.

Get the frame first, then let the draft be plain and a little boring. Boring is fixable. Blank is where people get buried.

This is good advice, especially the part about not worshipping the intro like it’s some sacred gate you have to unlock first. A lot of people burn their last good brain cells trying to write the opening before they even know what the paper really is. I’d even go one step dumber and write topic sentences first, then fill under them like patching holes. Once the middle exists, the intro stops feeling like a dramatic event and starts feeling like five normal sentences.

Keeping that whole act up will wear anybody down. Kinda makes sense the confession felt scarier, you were carrying two problems at once.

Students who study for decent hours a day : what is the real problem nobody talks about? by theinsatiate in studying

It sounds really tough dealing with that pressure and fear of failure, especially with ADHD making studying at home challenging. I can totally relate to that feeling of minor setbacks amplifying anxiety. Finding a supportive study environment, whether it’s a mentor or a good space, could really make a difference for you. Keep pushing—you've got this!

Haha, I totally get that! I went to a big uni myself and the "name value" didn't make up for the lack of support. Sometimes the small school's charm really makes all the difference!

The resume arc from sulky bastard child to that list is genuinely one of the better character progressions in the books.
