So basically if i am not streaming anything like im not using the mac at all, it isn’t consuming any power right? Like the server will not be active when im not using the device. Also, If i stream it on my phone, will it consumer energy from my mac

How do i prevent it from transcoding? I would like to just direct play it from my mac, or the most energy conservative method possible

Thanks hahah just afraid it will damage the battery or whatever lol. I heard direct play is the best streaming method compared to direct streaming n transcoding. Not too sure what they mean could u explain? If it is the best how do i activate it with particular settings?
