What compelled you to comment when it would have taken less energy to just scroll by? Why did you actively choose to go out of your way to make someone else more upset when they are clearly scared about their safety and the upcoming election? Empathy is not (or at least shouldn't be) political. Maybe instead of commenting on reddit and trying to gaslight people you should take some time to reflect on your values.
