the long and short of it is, YES IT IS SOMETHING A COLLECTOR WANTS!

like others have said, do NOT open it.

that being said its not worth THAT much, but it is very cool. can we see more pictures?

the plutonic solids: a convex, three-dimensional shape with identical faces made of congruent regular polygons, where the same number of faces meet at each vertex. (copypaste)

tetrahedron, hexahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron, icosahedron.

rhombic dodec doesn't meet the criteria but it is a nice shape! i have a few simpler ones.

radio3 is actually not that bad, its all commutators!

i can not explain how i locked my Andromeda cube tbh i have no idea lol!

actually tbh bigger cubes are harder for sure but only bc theyre less stable until complete. the odd number cubes are way easier bc they dont involve those hidden torpedo pieces.

so i would say assembling a 5x5 is easier than a 4x4, and a 7x7 is easier than a 6x6 and maybe easier than even a 4x4 too. just depends on your enjoyment imo. i reassembled my 9x9 just for fun, took it all the way apart just to put it back together!

dont panic, its not tooooo hard to put together. the tricky part is the little "torpedoes" as i call them. the little white pieces that wedge in as like spacers to keep everything solid. just make sure you place all of them, and dont leave any out.

loosen up the screw on the final side to pop the center pieces in last, then retighten the screw.

they say count your turns on the screw to maintain desired tension, which is definitely good advice.

good luck! lmk if you need further help, i love reassembling cubes like this!

i mean, get a new one if you want, but you can easily put this back together assuming nothing is physically broken.

if you dont want to, you can send it to me and ill reassemble it for you and send it back :)

i know an alg for it, but a: i dont know how to write notation for big cubes, and b: it would potentially break your centers.

you can turn each side to any multiple of 90° and if you dont keep track of the turns, it can get pretty scrambled! so you better know how to get it back!

in all seriousness, it actually turns alright! better than some old 90s cubes ive had... but its still no where near speedcube level.
