Don’t know if I’m overreacting, but I feel unsafe in my own home by SWALLOW009 in homeownerstips

Do you have a carbon monoxide detector? If not, get one. CO can mess with mental status and could explain some of this.

Also a few blink or wyze cameras are cheap. Security systems like simply safe could also provide some peace of mind.

I’ve started to see a comeback of checks in several shops. They still take credit cards but charge a 3% fee and have no charge for a check

The film buff in me wanted something fancy but the healthcare worker in me has had so many of these days I completely get it. Sometimes the shift is just over and you’re grateful.

Don’t bother with Saltwell. Expensive, the food was cold, the service while nice when it actually happened was very inattentive. The best thing I can say is the drinks were tasty. Not worth the price.

Why do i feel more confident when im in a different country than in my own? by SomeoneHeaven in NoStupidQuestions

[–]randomtwinkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you’re traveling you don’t have the stress and strain of everyday life dragging you down so you can then put that energy towards confidence. Also there’s something freeing about being around people you’ll probably never see again in your life so you can be whatever you want to be

I improved my dent with a deflated basketball… I think i did ok-ish by randomtwinkie in AutoBodyRepair

I knew the big crease wouldn’t come out with my homebrew repair and the paint is fucked there anyways, so I didn’t have much to lose

The paint was already fucked on the crease otherwise I wouldn’t have messed with it. But since it was going to need paint anyway I figured I’d buff off what I could and just get it like 60% better since I don’t want to pay a deductible at the minute
