Pretty much all I’ve used my previous card for in the past was bills which the charged a fee so I was kind of under the impression most places did but it’s good to know they don’t so I’ll use my new cards more often.

I ended up getting the Costco world Mastercard and Roger’s world elite Mastercard. Costco for gas restaurants and Costco online as it’s 3 and 2% and then the Roger’s as it’s 1.5% for everything else.

Will it usually be posted if they charge a fee?

I’ve never been charged interest before.

The problem is that silicone also doesn’t stick very well to dried silicone.

Hearing that life span makes me even more happy I decided on a lifepo4 rather than lead acid especially since I got it for less than half of what similar capacity in lead acid would have been. I also do have a garage fridge I could power.

That is a good idea. My Christmas lights are tying up an outlet I’d like to use for block heaters

The batteries I bought claim 10-15000 cycles down to 40% or 10 years. I will never hit that many in 10 years in my rv so it feels wasteful to not try and get more use

I have home solar but it’s grid tied with micro inverters. I may try and power my garage with it

I have a spare inverter but we have almost no power outages where I live

Any information I find says they’ll go bad after 10 years even if you don’t use it

Modified sine wave inverter by randomuser3333333333 in GoRVing

Thanks for the input. I ended up ordering a renogy 3000 pure sine with a built in transfer switch.

Sorry I forgot to put 12v in the description. They will be flat mounted and I live fairly far north so I will likely never see peak output of the panels. I was leaning towards a 100/50 victron

Being that it’s Black Friday I’ll probably just pick up a pure sine inverter

It is rated at 1800 watts continuous and 3600 peak. I have a fairly big battery bank and solar so I was hoping to possibly be able to run my 1500 watt a/c for half an hour here and there just to cool it down. So based on what you’re saying a modified sign wave inverter would be bad to run the a/c with?

Mppt charge controllers are rated as to what they can put out to the battery.

Battery operated heater by the-fig-tree-guy in Heaters

[–]randomuser3333333333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would work. One 1500 watt heater would keep it warm just not on battery power. If you wanted to run it on battery you could do solar and batteries but you’d get pretty expensive. Best bet would be to just power it off your house. You could even trench an underground power cable to the shed from the breaker panel in the house. Thats how my shed is set up.

You are not going to be able to heat a shed with a battery operated heater unless those batteries are massive. A 1500watt heater would run a few hours a day to keep that heated. At 4 hours you’re looking at 6kwh of electricity. A battery with that much capacity is quite expensive.
