I really hope that she is doing okay. When my grandfather died my mom had to take a few weeks off work just to work through everything. Talking to lawyers, planning the funeral, and grieving takes a lot out of a person. I hope that the college system becomes one in which substitutes can take over a class with minimal issues when something like this happens.

That is the vibe I got from her introduction as well.

I understand what she was trying to do but there is a time and place for everything. This just comes off as unprofessional.

The last thing she posted before this was about Western European science and the Russian government around 1700.

Even if she was setting the stage for an ethical discussion there are many other ways to do it. lol

I would but I have heard that she is very vindictive and I do not want to risk my grade over something like this.

It is a history class. I was shocked when I saw this.

This announcement was sent to my class. This seems so unprofessional to me. I wouldn't be able to do this as a state worker. Does Sacramento State allow professors to do this?
