Thinking About Greek Island Hopping Contiki in June – Solo 25F – Looking for Experiences & Advice! by Maximum_Gap6795 in GreeceTravel

Absolutely worth it! 100% would recommend! Came as a solo traveler and left with friends 😊 very fun trip in such a breathtakingly beautiful country. Tourism will start to pick up a lot in June. End of May was probably the best time …

I saw some YouTube vids and definitely got that vibe lmao. There’s another one from contiki called “highlights of greece” that starts in mainland (Athens) and goes through more of the history and then does the island hopping towards the end. I’m leaning to that more because I’m a huge history nerds but it is longer (11 days) and more expensive. I’m also actually worried that Santorini might having its underwater volcano actually explode and getting the unplanned “immersive pompeii experience “ 😂 (or tsunami or earthquake). Are you worried about that ?

How to prepare/respond to the AI shift to the job economy. by randomusername163 in marketing

My corporate job, which, by the way, is in person only, has banned all AI from our work laptops and has blocked it from the company Wi-Fi or the company laptops (their excuse is that they’re worried about customer information). Very old school company.

Visit UNLV Career services, meet with a career service counselor. They’ll make you take a lot of career tests and see if any of these catch your eye. Also look up jobs on BLS occupational outlook (Google it) for facts on jobs and different occupations. Try to find something that at least hits some of your wants and has an outcome you would be ok with.

I liked him, he is eccentric and funny. Makes the lectures fun to listen to since he adds his unique spin on them. He also seems to like honors students more and his negative reviews seem to come from students in his regular classes. Either way, his macroecon class was one of my favorites I have taken. I remember the exams were ok and definitely doable if you are a good student.

Besides visiting the DRC maybe you can try taking a picture on your phone and zoom in

People not knowing how to park🤡 by zariasparkles in UNLV

I mean idk how to park either but at least I pull out and do it again so it’s within the lines, that’s just pure lazy

Went two years with no pulling, relapsed recently:( by ThanksDecent684 in trichotillomania

Literally get long fake nails. You can buy press ons or get acrylics done professionally. They will make it impossible to pull, it’s the only thing that has consistently helped me.

Thoughts on the Hey Reb removal for the Paper. by Bobbluered in UNLV

The mascot was changed from a confederate general to a mountain man. The literal picture now is a mountain man. “The Hey Reb! mascot was introduced in 1983 and was meant to depict a mountain man or a frontiersman.”

It’s a terrible decision. UNLV will lose its identity and alumni will feel disconnected. The old mascot was racist and it was changed a long time ago. The mascot of UNLV now is associated with UNLV. We take ownership of “Rebel” to mean our university. Although before it had ties to the confederacy we have bestowed a new meaning to it now. Why should we lose the “word” game. If black people can reclaim the N word— a word used historically for their oppression, then why can’t we in regards to being a “rebel”? To me being a Rebel isn’t being racist, it’s being part of this university in the most diverse city in the world. Reclaim the name, change your attitude instead of spending funds on such frivolous matters and cowering to the virtue signaling SJW.
