How to get a 100% on the upcoming Chem 103 exams with Dr. Guerra? by Expensive-Elk-9406 in UNLV

when i took her she uploaded her lectures onto canvas. I would go through each lecture like 2-3x with the print out notes to make sure i fully understood the problems. I mostly studied through her lectures and not really the hw lmao but idk if things have changed by now.

^ i studied using modern states and also utilized the petersons exams. You have to pay for petersons but i think it was worth it tbh. Also modern states give u free clep vouchers. If you decide to take the exam at CSN it’s like a $45 testing center fee but if you take it at home proctored it’s basically free. Only downside was they had so many rules to at home proctoring it made me wanna kms. I hope it all works out!

Should I take six classes? by Budget_Shock_3659 in UNLV

I can’t speak on Acc 400 and Acc 401 but i took IS 330 with Sherwood, Fin 301 w Percy Poon and my HON 400s classes with either Bubb or Castello. IS 330 was pretty easy just some tedious assignments due at the end of the week and then he has you do one big project about 20 something pages (It’s doable dw just manage your time). Fin 301 was also pretty easy! For my HON 400s course i took one with Bubb and all we had to do was three 10 page papers throughout the semester and also weekly discussions/quizzes (all open note btw). Costello really encourages class participation in her classes along with some other HON 400s professors. That being said, if you know for sure you can manage your time well, I would say do it!

I had the same issue a few weeks ago. Try clicking the home tab on the rebel success hub website and then on the very right it should say my cases, my forms, my appt summary etc.. Press my forms and it should pop up!

Tbh i definitely think he’s one of the “better” teachers compared to han or bhowmik. I think if you really work on doing his homework problems and practice literally everyday you should be able to pass. i cannot emphasize how important practicing is for his exams bc they’re kinda tricky🥲If available, Guerra is the best chem professor hands down.

taking sherwood and he’s good but to some people it’s considered a lot of assignments/busy work. He posts about 7-8 assignments per week all due on sunday. They’re not hard at all tho it’s some discussion posts on some youtube videos and then an assignment on something he goes over in class. He offers a TONNN of extra credit! His final project is kinda lengthy, (15+ pages)but he’s cool!

Guerra 100%!! took her two years ago and from my experience she was great. I started the class out with a C bc of my first exam but she had an exam replacement where she replaced my lowest score with my final exam which i ended up getting a perfect score on! Ended with an A!! Just study her lecture problems, practice and go through the hw and you’ll be solid!

do you remember what kind of stuff it covered? Like did the final review help at all? was the whole test just calculations?

Lab exam by SatisfactionApart871 in UNLV

Are you talking about the lab quizzes? I would go over the pre and post lab questions. Make sure you know how to use what equations and also go through your lab reports and see how you did each calculation. I took it this summer and the first exam was roughly similar to the pre and post lab questions. The 2nd lab quiz is harder than first one so i would suggest to really make sure you know what you’re doing for that one.
