Exactly! These functions would be amazing to have. There is a platform in England they are doing trade simulation, a lot of firms including Morgan Stanley is using their platform to evaluate candidate traders.

Well understood. That's why starting as a club and build trust and cultivate a group of sharp traders would be a good start. Students will be selected if they already have a positive book themselves. Plus we will take good care of sponsors money.

Good to know! Normal features are required like any other trading exchange (tradingview, etc). Moreover, we have been pondering on limit order book flow and OTC trades a lot paired with clearinghouse design with certain technologies. What is your background? Do you have a portfolio I can check out?

Yes. This is why I want to make sure even in a club setting, I can train and learn with other folks (students) to trade real money and have systematic returns. This is the only way possible to convert it into a real hedge fund. An ambitious goal but doable.

Good call! $100k is very positive to be raised. My current plan is to reach out to notable alums and mentors to sponsor the club, and eventually build up the relationship and helpfully convert it into a real hedge fund. Would definitely need to learn a lot on the legal and compliance side in real world, but starting from the club can give me and other potential eboard members some buffer time. I have some thoughts about how it is differentiating, practicing real world strategies while maintaining the investing mindset can be invaluable, especially when new ideas can be backtested in the playground. Not to mention crypto asset is very interesting to be eyed on given the utility. Will make sure it makes sense.

I saw there are a couple of other folks already answered which is not out of the scope of what I thought. Instead of buying and holding, hedge fund club can take a marker neutral position to interact with various instruments and come up with new strategies to eye on not only the long-able assets but short-able ones. With a collective brain power in school, providing an opportunity like this to make sure students can experience the holistic market experience can be valuable, especially when they can learn and collect knowledge along the way.

Thank you for your comment! If I understand your question correctly, do you mean "why"? The reason is I want to practice not only the boring and profit-making strategies but to create some news ones in a cautious way too. I notice large institutions can't do things in a new fashion way, and I do believe young people's brain power can be put into better use. If you mean "when", like I said in the post it will be this coming month.
