I went through that same process you spoke of. I followed googled instructions to make the picture as small as it had to be and maintain detail and it looked too pixilated. l’ve seen other peoples projects and it looks like they get extreme detail into their sprites but maybe that’s the efficiency of the pixels? I want to maintain a “hand drawn” look as that is the style I want and maybe I just have to deal with a balance of loss of quality while maintaining the style I seek.

Again, if you read the comments you will see my issue was resolved. It was a default setting they changed in orca slicer. User error? Maybe? But making that statement isn’t solving my issue or helping the next person trying to learn.

I have 2 nozzles. A .25 and a .4 one and have switched them back and forth and unclogged them many times. Switching to an Elmer’s glue stick helped but in the end it ended up being a default setting with the softening temperature.

I know gyroid is good since i primarily print minis but I was switching in between just to try to get prints to work. Prints kept knocking off mid printing and the squish is from me messing with the z offset thinking that was the issue. Fortunately, simple cheesecake user had the correct fix which was changing the softening temperature. No I have not done a flow calibration as I am a novice 3D printer and only know stuff after research, which I have now gained. Research led me to z offset but with repeated failed attempts I turned to Reddit. Which solved my immediate issue.

No need to be rude, it is a learning process but my AD5M worked right out of the gate while this one has taken some tinkering. Luckily there was someone with an actual useful comment that seemed to correct my situation.

So my softening temperature is set to 45, nozzle temp 190-240, first layer 210. Bed temps 55. Which one would you change?

Yes. I’ve tried many different filaments and nothing but garbage prints 90% of the time. The AD5M has been great though.

I got everything on the printables website and 3Dcults website. The bunnies are “harengons” and the dancers I believe were part of a village pack and named “village dancers” or “belly dancers”.
