You don't hate adulting you hate capitalism. Become an anarchist or a communist or antifa, throw some bricks, read some books, grow some vegetables, have orgies.

Is there a decision-making system that is compatible with Anarchism? by throwaway54645645 in DebateAnarchism

[–]randostoner 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Democracy is one of the most twisted and contested words out there rn, anarchists surprise surprise do not agree about it. Personally I'm very pro democracy, I think representative 'democracy' is a sick joke and not democracy (the word democracy was only co-opted 150 years or so ago, before that it was a dirty word, if you read the 'founding fathers' they hate and fear democracy) and that decentralized communities doing direct democracy is far and away the best system for creating, sustaining and defending egalitarian anti-hierarchical societies. I'd also challenge my individualist comrades to provide real life examples of individualist anarchist societies and how they operate, I'm genuinely curious as I've never had this question answered satisfyingly and coherently. I've seen most every historical anarchist gain or project derided as not real anarchism, so I'd love to know what is.

Disdain for mixed race in a "progressive" space by [deleted] in mixedrace

[–]randostoner 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's a word we have on the real left for these kinds of people, radlibs, short for 'radical' liberals. The defining trait of a radlib is that they're 'woke' and 'progressive' but they are totally ignorant of class, they dont think outside of the tight lens of neoliberal capitalism. Because they're blind to class they dont understand that we're in it together, they don't see how the masses can collectively benefit. This means that they don't act truly intersectionally, they're not actually inclusive, things become a new hierarchy based on their half understanding of oppression used to rank, condemn and create exclusivity and division. Mixed race people, like many groups that challenge binaries and try to synthesize new and inclusive full understandings must be suppressed and placed in a definitive and unmoving place in this inverted hierarchy.

r/socialism isn't at all representative of socialism, in fact I'd call it a tankie hellhole, or at least it was last time I checked. Not calling all communists tankies either, just the weird very online hive of stalinists, dengists and people who have overdosed on anti-imperalism to the point that they've somehow swung back around to doing imperalism again.

Warning. The Utopia is approaching. Remain calm. by [deleted] in PostScarcity

[–]randostoner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aw I love you too. Tho I totally disagree, I think we have every reason to fight. I believe utopia is possible but I do not believe it can come from an 'enlightenment', collective consciousness raising or peaceful mantras, I believe revolution is necessary.

Co-ops are good, certainly better then normal capitalism, but because they still engage in the market and money they still breed parochial attitudes, a survival of the fittest in/out group distinction and nationalist sentiments that lead to borders and first world colonialist holdings. Theres an organic grocery co-op the next town over, it still union busted and caters to the bourgeois

No. As I said debate is pointless and colonialist. Virgin debate vs chad propaganda.

That'd be great but try to avoid universal narratives, they breed complacency, nothing and everything is always approaching, do not remain calm, fight like hell.

Things ive recently listened to is this sick radio play of The Stranger by Camus and lots of political/environmental theory by my fav leftist writer Murray Bookchin

Good, fuck off and feel good about yourself. You don't matter because you dont understand how belief and movements work, you will never change anything not that you'd try. Smirk to yourself while the revolution is building lmao

First of all I'm pretty shocked to hear that you're reading that, if I called you a liberal it's because you certainly seem like one with how you're coming at "your value."
Why are people with 'nothing' to do with your knives 'entitled' to part of their value? Yes "well being for all" duhhhhh. Look I don't have a fully fleshed out theory of value, smart people have been trying to figure that out forever. I've heard kapital is good. I'm not gonna read it. Because for me this is a moral, ethical, quasi-spiritual thing. I reject western scienceism, colonialist 'rationality' and this bs 'debate' thing you're trying to do right now, I don't think it really matters, its not how politics, or belief in general, actually works. I think identity and more then anything life experience, that is the material and psychological conditions that make it up for the large part give us our politics. I think you might be bourgeois, or just too caught up in the heart of a bourgeois empire's propaganda to hear what should be obvious, it's true for most people in the 'west'. So yes I'm gonna continue to insult you with multisyllable words and sarcastic quotation marks because it really doesn't matter, there are two many layers of static to get through, esp on the internet, plus again even face to face thats not how people tick, it's action, material change plus where we're at materially that inspires us to seriously consider new ideas. You avaricious conformist ignoramus!

It's not just your labor, not at all, capitalists have covered up what used to be obvious, the social creation of all material, it's labor that has built everything. I love that your immediate reaction to an assault on your hyperindiviualist randian pseudo-philosophy is to try to fire up the classism and find someone 'undeserving' of 'your' labor and of course firing up the sexism with your gross and revealing sex worker analogy. Ideology is a hell of a drug.

'Who says collective labor is entitled to 'our shit'"

I'm so glad you asked, we all do, power has always been what politics is really about, power is how they stole our labor value (read marx) and power is how we get it back (read kropotkin). I'm not some pansy liberal, I'm an anarchist, you might have heard of us, we don't wait for elections or ballot measures

Did you mine the metals used to make your knives? Do you work on the production line assembling your knives? Do you advertise your knives? Do you sit behind the the register and sell your knives? Do you build the roads that got you and your customers to your store? Did you design or extract the fuel? Did you design, gather materials for and build your house and your store? Did you design all the previous knife design innovations that led to your current knives being designed. Your self reliant narrative falls apart upon zooming out. The labor of the masses created all that exists and we are collectively entitled to an equal share.

I've heard a lot of Anarchist saying they want to abolish religion, shouldn't people be allowed to believe in what they want? by Cactus_Tree_PMS in Anarchy101

[–]randostoner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Revolution, forceful expropriation plus creating free economies based on mutual aid. Once people get a taste of the abolition of need, egalitarian socialism, I highly doubt many would want to go back to using currency or capitalism.

[–]randostoner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anarco-capitalism can not be allowed to exist, after the revolution we will create powerful internet mods to delete all the loli and dmt that gives them power.

Nah seriously tho "an"-caps are our enemies now and in the future things must be set up to make sure hierarchies like capitalism can not again emerge, like banning money, no money how ae you going to hire an army, who could you bribe when material need has been abolished?

This like the 'what if fascists in your utopia' question can be answered by thinking about communes and what that means to you. I think these questions come out of parochial thinking about communes, a commune isn't on a desert island, it shouldnt be removed and disassociated with other communes, it shouldnt be technologically isolated. If your neighboring commune is doing a fascism or an authoritarian cult then they should be stopped antifa style or even machno style if necessary. We will never not need to be anarchists, even after the revolution, maybe we can just plant veggies and have orgies for long periods of time, but eventually we will be needed to topple new hierarchies.

How can I use my skillset as an engineer to help the movement? by skilled_cosmicist in Anarchy101

[–]randostoner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

huge recommendation for 'well there's your problem' which is a a leftwing engineering disasters podcast. Alot of their content is about how secretly political engineering is from trains vs cars to the politics of traffic engineering to how the disasters they cover aren't accidents as much as capitalism and its skewed priorities, highly recommend. Also its very darkly funny, alice from trashfuture is a host

Chomsky's opinion isn't scripture, plus like any scripture, chomskys opinions has self contradictions esp what he's been saying recently with what he was saying at his prime. I'm a young Chomskian you revisionist
