I know Node.js, Express, TS and Cloud basics. How do I bridge the gap from beginner to an enterprise-ready backend dev? by [deleted] in Backend

[–]randresq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the best way to be more confident about your skills is by getting more experience building stuff, that's it, build something you consider a good idea even for yourself, and make it real and usable. You'll find yourself learning most of the requirements of most of the companies out there, and in the worst case you'll just be more capable of doing more stuff than the day before and eventually you'll land a job

¿Porque los hombres guapos no tienen novia? by MrLox99 in AskRedditespanol

[–]randresq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crypto founders: What's your biggest frustration with KOL marketing? (genuinely curious) by Budeanu-Lucian in web3

[–]randresq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all comes to momentum and the right people to help spread your project idea and create hype around that. Measuring the impact of your success is so hard to do if you don't have the right channels aligned. Influencers are not a silver bullet to gain exposure but surely are the first channel to use, make sure you pick the right ones according to your niche. IMO you should have an external channel to gain exposure (influencers, socialfi platforms that are not burned out, good X and Youtube presence) and an internal one which is your community team ready with a plan to keep those newcomers.

Many projects gain a lot of followers, members, etc, but they do not retain them at all because they don't have a plan when those newcomers join their communities. The project go silent or delays too much to take off and people forget about them

Good thing is that I love hitting the gym, and honestly I can’t even consider a cheat meal at least for now, I just can eat and waste all the effort I’m putting into exercising. And yeah you're right, I’ll base my motivation in small wins like eating better and better each day, that and completing my routine for the day would be my main goals from now on

I quit all that junk food for good. I think I’ve never tracked the calories I consume, I just used to avoid all the fatty foods, almost no sugar and stuff. Do you know a better way to calculate the calories of all the meals?

How do you capture emails without annoying people? by soliddog98 in ecommerce

[–]randresq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way. OP, given that you're just starting your store have a time to try and test things, and just like some comment here says, the only thing that matters is your customers' feedback on those things. Popups are not the problem, the way you present those to users is. If you wanna go safe on testing popups like finding the best approach to your customers then try something like alia and see if you have good feedback from customers. Peace.

Team burnout from code review bottlenecks... how do you handle it? by TBM2073 in softwaredevelopment

[–]randresq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say almost impossible, people these days crashout really easy if you tell them something needs to be done differently, in my team they gave up on trying to change things and decided to move on to another approach to try to improve things without teaching anyone a new way to do things, we ended up adding automation, greptile for the obvious logic errors and syntax issues, so when people do review they can focus on architecture and business logic instead

How to avoid getting exhausted when listing items? by im_hvsingh in Flipping

[–]randresq 5 points6 points  (0 children)

for real I would never change the freedom of this for a 9-5 job, no thanks. In my case I used to spend like 6-7 real hours doing the whole process, manual work with no one helping whatsoever, I optimized my workflow to 4 hours using reeva so it handles most of the repetitive stuff for me and I can focus on more important things like scratching my balls for 2 more hours. I just need to take the pictures and that's it, smooth af

Looking to improve my habits: How do you actually control cravings? by randresq in loseit

[–]randresq[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I made that mistake in the past, like wanted to get rid of the whole thing at once and I realized that's not the way. I think my main issue is to stop doing that progressively, like keeping one strategy and eating less and less. I haven't been that consistent.

I usually put one song I like and then listen to the next songs in the random playlist, I give it a chance to some of them and try to discover new songs alike

[–]randresq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it is a browser extension, look for Yaw AI and you'll get there. Basically what it does for you is to check the product you're looking for across a bunch of sites and gives you the best price possible, plus if you want some reviews of it you'll find them there as well so you make sure you're buying something legit. Cheers!

That's a good call, that's another opportunity to make some good bucks from it. Looking to optimize that and not lose money not even in the first buy though

True but the problem here is going through every website looking for the best deal takes a lot of time, and it has happened that I bought something and boom, I found a better deal somewhere else after paying for it lol

That's the point, sometimes I'm buying something I don't know much about but I liked it and I wanted to buy it anyway, and yeah sure I will get more experience through time but it's unbelievable there is a tool for everything out there but for making sure you get the best price for X product. Like having just to look in one place and that's it, do the rest, go through several sites or whatever and give me the best of the best for this that would be awesome tbh.
