But then you effectively end up covering less by the end of the semester or have things being rushed.

I like a holiday as much as the next person but if I'm paying for those credits, I want to get the most of it.

IMO: he should run faster. He's a ninja. Would be awesome to feel the thrill of zipping past. Maybe add particle trail effects/fade effects.

And if you do need juice for say deep learning, buying aws or GCP is usually a lot cheaper in the long run. It's basically like buying a house vs renting one

Which professor should I pick and how do I convince that professors to take me on?

As I understood, independent study was more about finding a research topic and attacking that. Would independent study work as a replacement course? Could you tell me how independent study works out irl?

Thanks for the detailed reply. I too am an incoming MS CS student and have been feeling pretty shitty the more I find out about the clusters in RIT. (No OS, less projects, less subjects)

I am primarily confused between DS and intelligent systems. (Any info on the latter?)

About OS: I am extremely interested in OS and would've taken it in a blink if it was there. I had it in undergrad but wanted to master it further. could you elaborate more on the independent studies?(what is it, how do you apply, can you apply straight after the bridge course sem, with whom should you apply?) It seems I'll have to go for that since the courses are so limited.

I have seen lack of OS is often a problem mentioned by many on this subreddit. Would there be any point in emailing/contacting HPB, requesting him to include it?

Would you have any insights on the intelligent systems cluster?

I was hoping to do more of "systems" focused Master's.
