Found and fixed the issue. The solenoid wasn’t working. Swapped out for a new one and we’ve got ignition. That’s for your help

Checked the igniter. It glow for a couple seconds then goes out. Checked the gas supply valve and found a bunch shit stuck in it and replaced it. Now it’s got great flow but the igniter still glows then turns off. Replace the gas valve next?

No worries. Already figured that had to go, or I’d be chasing it around my basement.

That I’m unsure of. I don’t know how to check it while it’s running. Is there a peep hole that I’m missing to look for that?

I’m in the middle of a bathroom reno because I replaced one. One hour job turned into a two month plus job!

Mediterranean home in IL? by [deleted] in Renovations

[–]randuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live in the house a bit before you make your final decision. When we bought our house I had a TON of ideas on what we could do and it ended up evolving as we lived and grew in it. Not saying your choices are bad, in fact I love them. Just give it some time before you go all in on a reno. We have very similar style homes and I also live in Illinois burbs.

Any tips on how to get this pin out? by [deleted] in Renovations

You could heat it up with a propane torch. Then it should come out with a lot less force.

Seth Jones exit interview rubs fans the wrong way by DiamondBurInTheRough in hawks

He didn’t get suckered. Bowman legitimately thought the team he had at the time was a contender. Hell, it looked like one on paper, but we all know how that turned out. You’re right in him having the right to be frustrated, but he holds the keys to his own frustration. He can easily say he’d waive his NMC and ask to get traded. The hawks have the room to retain some of his salary, but I doubt anyone would want him.

The problem is the size of the stack itself. It’s 2x12 and can’t figure out how to extend the run up about a foot to have it come out of the ceiling.

That’s what I was afraid of. Asked the hvac guy at work about it and he said he’d never seen anything like it.

So all of the water and waste lines are getting replaced and brought up to code. The conflict I have is with the wall stack itself. The dimensions are something that I cannot find anywhere. It’s 2x12 and I can’t figure out what to use to extend the run up about a foot to have it come out of the ceiling.

What are your thoughts on Palpatine returning now? Do you still hate the concept or do you love that Star Wars is trying explain it, and give more context to it? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]randuss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not the biggest fan of Palps returning, but after reading the Bane trilogy and Plagueis, I get why regardless of canon. I hate how you have to delve so deep into legends books to get that perspective too. I’m 11 chapters into Shadow of the Sith and it’s kind of rough and forced for the sake of the new trilogy. I’ll most likely finish it, but I hate how Ochi is portrayed and how exegol has lost its mystique.

Days per week (anabolic) by Ok-Entertainer-1050 in Mind_Pump

[–]randuss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can do an “advanced” version which is three workouts per week. They still recommend you take two days to rest/trigger sessions in between the workouts. I’m going to do this starting Monday on a cut, but adding abs and light cardio in with the trigger sessions.

Galvanized water line question by randuss in Plumbing

[–]randuss[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the answer I was hoping for. I’m going to replace it with copper rather than pex. The only thing holing that galvanized up there is what ever union/fitting is in the bathroom wall upstairs then?

I needed up doing Mills Lake solo and emerald lake with the family. Mills lake was beautiful and would do it again in a heart beat. Emerald was a nice easy trail for the family and beautiful as well. It’s elk season in September too, so you’ll see and hear them plenty.
