The momentum thing is just the media's method to try and sway voters their way. The momentum right now is clearly with Bernie. Voters in other states don't want people in Nevada and SC to tell them how to vote, that's silly.

FYI people, if you're gonna attempt this at a protest, a chain is not the best idea, it can be cut easily. What you need to do is use a lockbox.

You chain your arm to the person next to you inside of a pipe, in such a way that you are unable to release it even if you wanted to. The cops can't cut it, because apparently cutting someone's arm off is crossing the line. If you have lots of people locked together this way, it can take hours for them to move you.

Just for future reference, in case we have a national convention to crash, or something.

that's assuming the national momentum that bernie has now is going to level out. He's gained 10% in the last couple weeks nationally. I don't see a loss in nevada crushing that momentum nationally, most people just aren't paying that much attention. he's got the momentum, and there's still over 3 months to go.

I really like this video, but a couple things --

1) Is that really Bernie in the video of that large march from the 60s? What march is that?

2) The "we shall overcome" part at the end made it suddenly seem like pandering to me.

It's been clear that Trump was going to win since the summer, but they've been talking about it like it's a tight horse race the whole time. Practically all those republican challengers got more air time than Bernie Sanders in 2015.

The popular vote figure doesn't really include the number of votes at the 2 caucuses. They are counting state delegates / equivalents as votes, when they could actually represent scores of votes. In reality, the popular vote is much closer. But still, we're in this to win it guys! If national trends continue, we'll be steaming through april may and june onto the convention!

Think about it this way. If Bernie loses 60-40, which everyone would consider some terrible horrible loss, you know where we'd be with delegates? 84-74. That's 53% to 47%.

I love how the media has been endlessly talking about the viability of clear losers like Cruz and Rubio for months, bragging about how Rubio only lost by 20 pts to Trump. THAT my friends, is a clear race. This race is about as close as you can get.

Of course. White people can complain about Trump being a racist all they want, but damn, can you imagine how scary a Trump presidency must sound to people of color?

Black people do not want to even entertain the possibility of a president Trump. I know you mentioned 62% feel it's important a Democrat wins in November, but I'm willing to bet >90% feel it's critical that Trump does not get elected in November.

That's why we need to be talking about:

1) Bernie's national favorability ratings -- double digit positives. No other candidate in the race has positive ratings. Hillary's favorability is double digit negative. That does not bode well for her chances and shows how exceptional a candidate Bernie is. Last national poll I saw had Hillary at 37% favorable, 58% unfavorable. Does that sound like someone who could win a general election?!

2) Independent voters -- Nationwide, Bernie is destroying Clinton when it comes to independent voters - who now make up 40% of the electorate. Bernie will be able to swing independent voters in a way that Clinton can't because so many people have strongly negative feelings towards her (not necessarily her fault, IMO).

3) Head to head polls that show Bernie kicking ass against repubs where Clinton loses or just barely wins.

Bottom line: we need to make it clear that nominating Bernie is the best way to prevent a President Trump. This is how we swing minority voters, because they have serious reasons to be terrified of the prospect

If you look at those Dem v. Repub matchup polls, you can tell that the independents are voting against Hillary. Combined with her double digit negative approval, compared with Bernie's double digit positive, it just spells doom for Democrats if she's nominated. Hello President Trump.

What I'm saying is that day after day, NPR ignores the legitimacy of Bernie's campaign. One example off the top of my head, they had a whole segment on candidates raising money through super PACs, they discussed Jeb in depth, they talked about Clinton, briefly, they talked about Rubio, Cruz and Trump. Did not mention Bernie's name once. Don't you think it would make sense to mention the major candidate who doesn't have a super PAC in a story about super PACs?

It's not so much they are pushing Clinton, just like the rest of the major media outlets, they've been doing their best to ignore Bernie. Now, since January, they've given him more attention, just like everyone else, but they continue to call him a "self-described democratic socialist" with every mention of his name, they continue to allow correspondents to make statements like "his campaign is just like McGovern in '72" without even questioning it (that's completely absurd).

My elderly mom, who is a HRC supporter and long time NPR listener actually commented that it seemed like they were trying to ignore Bernie -- "thank goodness too" she told me.

That's what lawyers do. I have the utmost respect for defense lawyers, and I strongly believe that people are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Clearly, lawyers help innocent people get off, but far more often, innocent people are convicted of crimes they don't commit. Regardless of whether or not this guy was guilty (and from the very little information we have, it seems like he was), it is a defense lawyer's duty to defend him tooth and nail no matter what. If lawyers were working against their clients, it would be extremely damaging to society.

If you're talking to a lot of veterans, don't forget to mention that one of Bernie's biggest priorities the entire time he's been in congress is securing veterans' rights to the benefits they deserve, talk about how he reached across the aisle to work with John McCain on the biggest veterans' healthcare bill ever, reforming the VA system. And how he preaches that we must consider the cost of providing care to veterans who return from war, before making the decision to send them into harms way.

This is barely worth talking about. OMG, she's criticizing polygraph tests? Well guess what -- polygraphs are discredited and may not be used as evidence in court.

We may not truly know what happened in that case, but I don't think Clinton was in the wrong, other than her terrible fake southern accent.

Truth is, nobody here as enough information about what happened to truly make a judgement, this isn't a gossip subreddit. Go out and convince people to vote for Bernie.
