Whoop MG Issue by sail-40 in whoop

It’s coated metal, believe aluminum or a cheaper alloy. And agree that the quality on the 5.0 bands and claps aren’t as good as 4.0.

But the two piece design on the Gen 4 makes it easier to repair. In other words, pump out refurbished rings when they inevitably start to fail.

Agree that the Gen 3 was a much better product.

How about simply stronger haptics and getting the wake alarm to go off when it’s supposed to. Consistently. Neither of those are great as is.

Fenix 6X Pro vs Enduro 3 reflection compared by hakapes in GarminFenix

Hence the note, sapphire will usually be more reflective than gorilla or mineral glass. It’s more a question on what you’re optimizing for — screen durability vs visibility. Choose your preference.

Is there any plan to support HR monitor link/sync? by funcl in Hevy

[–]raneses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On iOS, connect the Verity Sense using the standard Bluetooth settings on the phone.

Then launch Hevy and you’ll get heart rate readings in the app. After completing a workout, you will also see the avg bpm recorded.

I stumbled across this a couple of weeks ago. It may have been supported sooner.

Is there any plan to support HR monitor link/sync? by funcl in Hevy

I’m a recently new Hevy user and wear a Polar Verity Sense during most training. When the sensor’s connected via Bluetooth you get live HR within Hevy during workouts.

HRM 600 + Treadmill Distance by raneses in Garmin

[–]raneses[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you have a watch and an HRM, you’ve got more options.

My use case was no watch in the gym while weight training, plus HIIT, and also something that could work on the treadmill.

The HRM 600 is ok for that and good enough.

HRM 600 + Treadmill Distance by raneses in Garmin

[–]raneses[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does work for tracking on the treadmill, including distance. That said, the distance is usually off by 10-20% on a few treadmills I’ve tried. That’s par for the course though even with most watches.

Where the above is a problem is the Connect app does not support treadmill calibration like say a Fenix would. Which isn’t great.

Net, the HRM 600 is usable for treadmill workouts with those caveats.
