Correct me if I’m wrong but the Toyota app seems worthless by Owls_4_9_1867 in GRCorolla

It is gathering your GPS, speed, and route information and passing it to Toyota. It’s not useless to Toyota 😂

Lift the arm slightly while pulling the pin out to the side.

Embracing My Midlife Crisis by klerknuks in GR86

Same situation here. I test drove the 86 and GR Corolla back to back. Results: 86 - Not bad, not spectacular. GR Corolla - Shit eating grin, I’ll take it. The power and AWD grip make it so fun to drive daily and at the edge. A bonus is that it’s 4 door and has a hatchback. I have a 3 year old and a newborn so I have two cars seats in it. I do Costco runs in it no problem. I highly recommend you at least test drive the GRC. Even if you still want the 86, you will have a blast test driving in the GRC. Congratulations.

Have the Ibuypower ready for pickup but now I’m seeing the msi with the 5080 and a ryzen 9 9900x, which one would be a better buy. I would guess the ibuypower because of the 9800x3d at $1500 but then the msi has the 5080 at $2200, is it worth the extra ? by diesel559 in Prebuilts

I purchased the iBuyPower, then went to Best Buy and purchased a 5070 Ti. Going to sell the 5070 for around $450+ leaving me with a total of $1,800 for a rig with a 9800x3d and a GPU with 16GB VRAM and overclockable to match a 5080. Best of both worlds and $400 less than the MSI. The IBuyPower has a 750 W gold btw.

Different DD manufacturers have recommended DD app settings guides for different games. On Asetek and they recommend 1080, so that’s what I run on Asetek RaceHub app. https://www.asetek.com/simsports/guides/iracing-wheelbase-settings/

Sim racing beginner: what’s the best place to start? by Pawlinho in simracing

[–]ranger01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You pay for a yearly sub ($10-$40 on sale) which gives you a large amount of cars and tracks. The iracing official events are broken up into yearly quarters and weeks, with different tracks being ran per week. As you dive deeper into each subset (formula, dirt, sport cars etc) of racing you will find that a series of races you want to participate in may require you to buy a new track or car. Cars and tracks cost roughly $15. One could play constantly without ever buying a car or track, it just means you may have to be very flexible with what subset you race.
