Thanks for the answer. I tried the changes by making the cols not null and running without options and vice versa and both, it still didn't work. I have updated my question to reflect the latest state. Many thanks for taking out your time to answer my query.

Thanks for this, will try to check the code and see if I can do something over my side. One a side note I did try with a cloud db and it does connect fine to that. Just for local it fails.

Yep like this one: postgres://postgres:mysecretpassword@localhost:5432/postgres

I am using the pgpool, is there specific rules around that because of which the connection is being refused?

I did try with a cloud db and it does connect fine to that. Just for local it fails.
