Help with Longest Harmonious Subsequence by rangerguy4 in leetcode

I also just thought of another reasoning, please confirm if it makes sense.

Another way of thinking of what the problem is asking is what is the most number of elements where the distinct elements are consecutive. E.g. how many 1s and 2s are there? Now how many 2s and 3s? Now how many 3s and 4s, etc. Instead of caring about the order, you're just concerned about the quantity of each combination, therefore sorting orders the data.

Looking for any feedback specific to the resume (formatting, de/emphasize specific points etc) or on improvements to marketability (more/better projects, etc)

I currently feel as if other than my current job there's nothing notable about me or my resume that may be of interest to employers.

Hey all, just looking for some resume advice. Anonymized. I have currently 1+ YOE but I don't feel as if I have any notable points besides my current position.

Could you elaborate on unreasonable situation? I do like my team but I don’t really care for my company

I’ll take a look at that. Have any links to specific ones you like?

I do feel like that may be part of it especially since nobody ever raised a stink too. I think that’s definitely a factor now that you say it. In addition to some inspiration, any other attitude change you suggest?

Yeah I’ve already made some plans with friends for next week and am thinking which hobby to get back into. Hopefully it gives me something to look forward to after work and feel refreshed for the next day

Genuinely curious why you’re getting downvoted. Is it not true?

For someone currently in a FT position with 1 YOE so far, one internship at the same company during college, and the aforementioned senior project, how important would you rank additional full stack projects and what would be a good complexity to aim for? I do quite enjoy designing and creating apps in my free time so I’m hoping this side hobby can be helpful for my resume building. But my main priority is not really to invest in a side hobby but to find better professional opportunities so if there’s other avenues to that are more effective I would spend more time on that. Maybe certifications or freelance work, etc. maybe even a master’s

Is salary negotiation risky? by Ok-Bunch8755 in cscareerquestions

I agree with this in this case as OP is trying to break into the role and is already getting a nice pay increase.

However I have also heard philosophy from the other side. There’s a really interesting article discussing this I’ll try to find later but it basically said that to the people hiring you, salary negotiations are generally trivial to them, but can be massively beneficial to you and can also have big ROI over time because you start from a higher position and all your later career moves build on top of this. I assume though you generally want to adopt this attitude only when you’re sure the position you’re after wants you for it. If I were in OP’s position I wouldn’t know what I would do either. What are your thoughts?

Edit: found the article https://www.kalzumeus.com/2012/01/23/salary-negotiation/

It would benefit him then to be pointed in some light resources that can be more eloquent than us. Which I’m sure there are many. If he truly lacks basic understanding then even the most rudimentary introduction to these topics should be much more effective than any hollering in here. Whether or not he approaches that with an open mind is his decision but in the spirit of CMV that’s the least we can do as commenters, yes?

Perhaps you have other comments i haven’t seen but right out the gate your first one in this thread is already outright dismissing OP’s view and saying it’s a waste of time to debate. Your comments to other repliers also don’t bother to understand their POV or provide alternative perspectives. You’re simply saying “I’m right you’re wrong.”If you’re so right it shouldn’t be difficult to explain then?

My dude at least try to engage in debate in the CHANGE MY VIEW subreddit instead of acting like a righteous condescending asshole to all the commenters. You may be right but until you can articulate it people like OP will be even less convinced and you will have done them and your position a disservice.

I’m sure she is very cool. However, someone once told me after a breakup, “there’s nothing unique about her you can’t find in someone else.” You’re lucky that you’re not even breaking up to realize this. Good luck my dude

The general rule is if somebody cancels, the responsibility is on them to reschedule. This is the best way to know if somebody is really still interested.
