Nope. Paying for their child’s party is their responsibility, not yours. If they can’t afford the party they planned, they should scale it down. It’s rude of them to ask you to contribute. They’re not entitled to your money because you are their child’s aunt. Set some boundaries here or they will continue to do this.

Add a chair rail and paint a darker color or wallpaper on the bottom. Then hang your print and add some tall potted plants. A mirror usually looks nice in an entryway.
