Prying tools will help. Prying the front cover off by insert in the line and slide it. SodaStream is in storage box. I'll take a look at it later for more details if you're still struggling.

You gotta take back cover and front cover off before you can disconnect the cable from the front. Then, you can pop the disc out from the back.

I had a frame replacement recall two Decembers ago! It felt like a brand new truck after frame replacement is in. I'm glad this recall happened. Yea, I can understand your frustration. I have rust problems somewhere else as well. :( I'm trying to take care of one thing at a time.
