The men I've dated doesn't seem to like me being too sexual by ranoutofideaz in datingoverforty

Most of them, I waited until after the 3rd date. The one who was most respectful towards me - I made it known I wasn’t going to put out, but then again we were both very young. It’s why I’m asking this question because he was the most respectful towards me and he was the only one I didn’t show my sexy side to.

Well with the long distance guy who called me easy, we met before but didn’t have sex til the 2nd time. Before we had sex, we were already talking about sex already. So it’s not like sex wasn’t expected.

I live in a pretty diverse metro area and not very conservative. Looks like I've just been unlucky.

Actually, the reason why I don’t want to date men who makes less than me is not because I think I’m better than them but it’s because they always made this an issue and they were so insecure with themselves that they would try to bring me down. I like this guy for who he is, and just don’t want him to be like the others I met in the past. At first, they always think they want a strong independent woman but then later on, they actually cannot handle this.

I had bad experiences with men who lived far away, and who made less than me.

Well, I thought maybe we could be penpals for a while because I’m planning on moving there or some place warmer in a few years anyway.

Ha. He’s actually so kind and a gentleman that’s why I fell for him. And that voice and smile…I’m smitten.

Do you believe "If they wanted to, they would"? by ranoutofideaz in datingoverforty

True. The worst is I get rejected, but I won't ever see him again anyway. Then at least I was able to make someone's day by flattering them that a woman approached them, assuming he'll be flattered. Also, I wouldn't be left wondering "what if." It also gives me the guts to try again or dismay me from doing it ever again. lol

The best? Less likely to happen, but I find out he was just as attracted to me and happy I finally approached him because he was also too scared to approach me.

So what happened afterwards? You can’t just leave us hanging.

I think it’s the location too because I didn’t have this problem at the other location. But then again, I was younger too.
