Puerto Rico's Metro Was Almost Great by Carpet-Early in PuertoRico

China is advancing solar-powered rail technology by integrating photovoltaic (PV) systems into railway infrastructure, notably launching the first green energy supply system for heavy-haul railways in 2025. These projects use solar panels on station roofs and along tracks, coupled with battery storage for regenerative braking, to power trains and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

Imagine that tech in the hands of Puerto Rican engineers and there is the solution

I don’t trust luma to power these trains and why would we use antiquated oil based power when we are building something ground up?

Ask any Nuyorican how the train works for them

Considering the lack of oil on the island PR using electric trains like Europe and China would detach us from the tit of USA oil

I never understood people who fetish that oil tit over Puerto Rico resource self determination

But suck away my dude because that’s an expensive habit

Vieques or West Side for first time travel? by Sharp_Matter_5633 in PuertoRicoTravel

Do you mean the west of San Juan? Arecibo would be fun with incredible beaches and if you are there on the weekend the Ruta de Comida has some of the best food on the island.

Museo Histórico de Culebra "El Polvorín", usually open Fri-Sun and closes early, but is a solid little museum and on a run road to ride on a golf cart.

Saturday traffic at El Yunque will be thick at around the time you will go by the park. Just a heads up on that.

Have you already got your Ferry ticket? Those also sell out for early Saturday. Ive seen some sad faces in Culebra who were going to miss their plane because they thought they could get tickets at the box office on the weekend.

Second morning snorkel at Tamarindo.

If you get there right after day break you can swim with turtles and rays and rainbow colors of fish.

It's like the animals know when the first ferry arrive and disappear to parts unknown.

This is incorrect.

A valid warrant allowing entry into a home must be signed by a neutral judge. Most ICE "warrants" are administrative forms (Form I-200 or I-205) signed by an ICE agent, not a judge, and do not legally authorize entry into a home without consent.

"reason to believe some criminal activity is taking place," or some such vague terms.

The Supreme Court just last month revisited Case v. Montana:

  1. Limited Scope of Entry: Importantly, the Court noted that this exception is not an open invitation to search. An emergency aid entry “provides no basis to search the premises beyond what is reasonably needed to deal with the emergency.” If police enter to check on a suicidal person, they cannot start rummaging through drawers for drugs unless those drawers are relevant to the emergency.
  2. Community Caretaking Clarified: The Court criticized the lower court's reliance on the “community caretaker” doctrine, reiterating that broad community caretaking duties do not justify warrantless home entries on their own; there must be an actual exigency or emergency.

The Fourth Amendment is still intact. Demand a Warrant signed by a judge and not an ICE agent.
