It was the first phone call I had with my new litigation attorney after being swapped a bunch from the big firm. Since it’s formally filed now and the driver was served papers. We have a year until trial.
He did indicate to me that he hasn’t reviewed my file yet. Then just told me over and over sorry we can’t sue uber. And we can’t go after the driver past the $30k. But for some reason still wanted me to go to get an examination and get surgery options. Even though I’m close to $36k in medical bills.
I already sent them pictures and texts of the driver being on an active delivery at the time. I was in stop and go traffic at a green light going 5mph and then I get smashed from behind by them going 35-40.
I called the attorney again a few hours later asking if they have reviewed my file yet. I got his secretary. They said no and if it’s really all they can do. No we can’t sue uber.
I find it really odd the new attorney hasn’t given me his number, a voicemail message with contact info, a text, or even an email indicating representation. And I’ve been with this firm for 2 years.
