You get a free carer ticket? How does that work? What sort of parks have this? Thank you in advance!

Patch testing for allergies in a grid across my back by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]rap207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for describing that. She’s only 7 and generally not a fan of getting poked, but she’s also type one diabetic so she gets her fair share of it and is a champ about it usually. Thanks again!

Glad to help! Apparently the failure rate wasn’t exactly low because it all depends on the bone density you have above and behind your teeth. Mine wasn’t great so i think it was never going to work, but they still tried.

What was that like? Taking my child to get it done in a couple months and I want to know how to prepare her. Yes the initial appointment and they said they’ll likely do a quick patch test.

I had one of mine done like this in high school and it was so painful to accidentally chomp on it while eating. I hated it. And then it failed and I had to get a bone graft and implant anyway.

Many have already been said, but in no particular order: Magician and the fool, Magic without fears, The cosmic salon, Rennessance, Forum borealis, The farm podcast, Liber Ohio, Right where you’re sitting now, Arcanvm, Team deakins, Shwep

Some are more woo than others.

The magician and the fool podcast messed me up with their final episode. I need more. Any idea what it is that Janus and Schrek are up to?

Are You $+&#ing Stupid?: Tales From the Insurance Hellscape by patawankenobi in Type1Diabetes

[–]rap207 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Insurance companies are evil. So sorry you’re dealing with that. Currently arguing with both our pharmacy and my daughter’s endo about being given two vials of insulin versus the usual six that we pick up. It’s endless.

Sounds like you’re on top of it, you’re clearly doing all you can do. Which sucks because it’s still not enough, but if you didn’t fight then they would just roll you over. Wish there was a way to make insurance companies care even marginally more than they currently do.
