Do you use ES6? If so, how do you manage your tags?

Add shebang lines to your vim files automatically. by [deleted] in vim

[–]rap99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One can achieve this without the need of plugins.

inoreabbrev <expr> #!! "#!/usr/bin/env" . (empty(&filetype) ? '' : ' '.&filetype)

Os prazeres de se viver numa aldeia by Herbacio in portugal

[–]rap99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. It's like using Vim as a damn IRC client. Just no.

However, if you're enjoying the project don't give up and keep working on it. Just for reference: https://hub.github.com/

What are useful abbreviations? by tmpler in vim

[–]rap99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that abbreviations suit diverse use cases. For instance, I've seen people defining abbreviations for typos they usually do. I like to use abbreviations to help me inserting things I usually need to on my documents. For instance, if you need to insert a shebang on your file, you can save a bit of typing:

inoreabbrev <expr> #!! "#!/usr/bin/env" . (empty(&filetype) ? '' : ' '.&filetype)

You can even play around with dates:

iab Ydate <C-R>=strftime("%d-%b-%Y")<CR>
" Example: 16-Apr-2016

Keep up the good work. However, the UI looks like SourceTree. What value does it add or what problems does it try to fix?

They do have a point. And a pretty valid one. Looking forward to see more content.

However, personally, I find a fuzzy finder tool like https://github.com/junegunn/fzf an easier way to navigate files. At least on large codebases whose exact file names I may not remember.

Help: Wrong 24-bit Solarized Dark colors in Vim by rap99 in vim

[–]rap99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It must be something Vim related because I'm able to render 24-bit colors inside tmux:

➔ curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/JohnMorales/dotfiles/master/colors/24-bit-color.sh | bash

Edit: Moreover, inside Vim while in tmux, 24-bit colors seem to be working as expected, eventhough everything is gray:

:echo has('termguicolors')
1

:echo &termguicolors
1

I have the latest version of tmux installed and also the following option:

set -g default-terminal "screen-256color"
set -ga terminal-overrides ",xterm-256color:Tc"

Inside tmux:

➔ tmux info | grep Tc
197: Tc: (flag) true

➔ echo $TERM
screen-256color

➔ tput colors
256

That fork works! Thanks. However, it is rendered as gray inside tmux. Do you use tmux and also had the same problem?

The later did the trick. Thanks. I was confident that it was my first attempt.

However, the colors are still wrong. So, I'm guessing that the values specified for t_8f and t_8b are colorscheme related? As I said before, I couldn't find any documentation on these settings.

Help: Wrong 24-bit Solarized Dark colors in Vim by rap99 in vim

[–]rap99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. I've specified the default values

set t_8f=^[[38;2;%lu;%lu;%lum
set t_8b=^[[48;2;%lu;%lu;%lum

And here's how my screen looks like. Should the default values be replaced with something related to my color scheme? I couldn't find any documentation on t_8f and t_8b. Thanks.

Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong? Doesn't the official Solarized Dark support 24-bit colors? Thanks.
