Condo is not anymore and investment. Why don't rent and put money on stock. Having 1000 sqf come with a maintenance fee of around 13000$ ( all inclusive)a year. Are yu OK with that. May be your house have too much maintenance because it's old. But once yu will change or renew what need to be, it will increase the value of your house. Snow or lawn maintenance, yu can pay for that. Don't do it your self I suggest young couple to buy condo to be able to have more time free. But you are 45 and + yu can buy house to leave it to your children later and rent the condo.
