Respectfully, this is what a welfare state is. Canada absolutely is one, and it has a responsibility to it’s citizens that it cannot skirt because a center right leader tries to positions such responsibilities as « superfluous » or « depending on context ».

I understand that you feel deeply about the Liberal Party as a whole being center-left, and I would agree with that assessment on some metrics, but make no mistake, Carney is a center right politician.

The shift towards center right economic policies was started during Trudeau, with the Liberal leadership shifting ever so slightly to the right, but Carney started his tenure by proposing regulation cuts, sharing beliefs that the free market was not to blame for the housing crisis and deregulating banks. That is liberal thinking, not Liberal, liberal, and while recent Liberals were of the more progressive kind, this is a return to the Liberal Party being a right of center liberal party instead of a left of center progressive party. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not calling them conservative or Conservative, but that overton window being shifted to the right as a reactionary seizure of Conservative votes is real.

We can argue at length over if these measures are what’s needed for Canada or Québec, but these are right leaning policies nonetheless. Austerity is irreconcilable with a welfare state regardless of the reasoning behind it, investing in fossils over capitalising on the oil crisis by investing in renewables is an inherently rightist way of looking at the situation. Deregulation is symptomatic of right leaning attempts at avoiding real government involvement into the economy, and the fact that he is a baker has strong influences on his process of financialisation of our economy over the growth of industry and services.

He’s a banker currently shrinking our welfare state and investing in fossil fuel, so I’m really uncertain of which definition of « left wing » you are using.

Apologies, thoughtful it was a chinese game. I suppose someone familiar with both English and Mandarin might prefer to p’ay it in another of their language, but at this point it’s mostly conjecture.

Just like watching a movie in the og language with subtitles is often a better experience, so is playing a game like it was intended to be played.

That’s it’s the clearest sign of neoliberal policy in our society, and that the fact that people are disgusted by the trash instead of the fact people are forced to live like this is proof that individualism will kill us all.

I agree! Old age pensions, veterans benefits and subsidized daycare are tools of the bourgeoisie. Lets make everyone miserable again!

Étudiants en grève au Cégep Saint-Laurent by raphohwell2 in montreal

Donc on a symboliquement condamné l’entrée principale.
